Lucille B. [Schroeder] Choat
November 27, 1923 ~ November 25, 2008


The funeral service for Lucille B. Choat, 84-year-old Enid resident, will be 2 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2008, at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Christopher Hall, pastor, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Lucille was born to William G. and Dorothy [Riekenberg] Schroeder in Douglas, Oklahoma and died November 25, 2008 at The Commons.

She married Albert L. Choat in September, 1946. Lucille was a homemaker and worked for Lamberts in the alterations department. Then, for many years, she enjoyed meeting many wonderful people as she did alterations in her own home.

She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert; son-in-law, Herb Eisenhart and granddaughter, Kim Millemon.

Lucille was loving and kind. She was always ready to be helpful.

Services will be Friday, November 28, 2008 at 2:00pm in Redeemer Lutheran Church. Pastor Christopher Hall will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Albert L. Choat
April 24, 1924 ~ September 1, 1973


Albert Choat, 48, 1622 N. Monroe, died early Saturday in a local hospital after a long illness.

His funeral rites will be at 10am Tuesday in the Redeemer Lutheran Church with the Rev. Glen C. Kollmeyer officiating.

Burial wil be in Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Choat was born April 24, 1925, in Kingfisher County and came to Enid in 1946.

He had worked for OG&E since that time.

Choat was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church.

He served with the US Navy, in the South Pacific during WWII.

Albert Choat and Lucille Schroeder were married Sept. 14, 1946 in Watonga and she survives. Other survivors are a daughter, Mrs Herb [Karen] Eissenhart Jr., Blytheville, Ark.; a son, Michael Choat of the home; a granddaughter, two brothers, Everett Choat of Enid and Vern Choat of Granada, Colo

The funeral for Everett Joe Choat, 82, will be 10 a.m. today, Decemb er 29, 2009, at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Pastor Christopher Hall will officiate.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

He was born October 29, 1927, in Lacey to James E. and Angie Phipps Choat and died Friday, December 25, 2009, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.

He attended Lacey schools and served two years in the Navy.

He married Erma June Schroeder Aug. 1, 1948.

After working as a journeyman plumber for 14 years, he started Choat Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning, retiring in 1989.

He was a longtime member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, where he served on the evangelism board and as a trustee.

Surviving are his wife, Erma June, of the home; two sons, Brad Choat and Steve Choat, both of Enid; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Redeemer Lutheran Church building fund or the charity of donor’s choice.

Erma June Schroeder Choat
Jiune 13, 1930 ~ September 20, 2022


Erma June was born June 13, 1930, to the late W.G. and Dorothy [Rickenberg] Schroeder and passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at her home in Enid.

On August 1st, 1948, she married Everett J. Choat and they resided in Enid.

She enjoyed being a homemaker and for many years she assisted her husband in managing the family business.

She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church since 1948. The word of God and prayer were the sustaining strength of her life.

Erma is survived by two sons and their wives Brad and Gloria Choat, Enid and Steve and Jeanne Choat, Enid; five grandchildren and their spouses Travis and Tamara Choat, Terry, MT, Eric and Mandy Choat, Drummond, OK, Maggie and Jason Missal, Lafayette, LA, Jamie and Eli Hager Enid, and Shellie and Sammy Floyd, Enid. Nine great grandchildren, her niece Karen Eisenhart, Gulf Breeze, FL.

She was preceded in death by her husband Everett Choat and her sister Lucille Choat.
