MANCHESTER — The funeral for Noel Chambers, 76, will be 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Chapel with Rev. Danny Marney officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

He was born to Ernest H. and Cassie D. (Hooker) Chambers on Aug. 9, 1934, in Kiowa County, Okla., and died Monday, Nov. 29, 2010, at his home in Enid.

Noel lived in Gotebo before moving to Enid when he was 12.

On July 27, 1979, he married Patricia Furrow in Waukomis. They made their home in Enid. He owned and operated Chambers Electric.

Noel loved to fix up pickups and keep his vehicles clean and shiny. He attended Bible Baptist Church and Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Noel is survived by his wife, Pat of the home; children, Danny and Sarah Chambers of Enid, Patti and Chuck Wisel of Enid and Dennis Chambers of Greenville, Texas; stepchildren, Karen and Charles Ayres of Enid, Debbie and Kyle Hadwiger of Guthrie, Jerry and Denise Amsler of Enid and Dixie Amsler of Enid; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; twin sister, Joel Mitchel of Douglasville, Ga.; and sister, Nadine Himebaugh of Oklahoma City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Cassie Chambers and brother Gene.
