Visitation for Judith 'Judy' Dell Carter, 72, Enid, will be held 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016, at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016, at Central Christian Church. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Judy passed away peacefully Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, surrounded by family and friends.

Judy was born on Jan. 23, 1944, in Oklahoma City, the daughter of Roy Kent Johnson and Phyllis Frances Carrithers.

First and foremost, Judy was a loving mother and wife who dedicated her life to her family. In 1966, Judy married the love of her life, Rowland F. Carter, and they later had two children. She graduated from Enid High School in 1962 and earned a B.S. in Education from Phillips University in 1989. In the early years of her career, Judy worked at Community Bank in Enid, and later became an elementary school teacher and tutor. Judy was a member of Central Christian Church in Enid, and the Philanthropic Education Organization, Chapter DB.

Judy was predeceased by her husband of 35 years, Rowland F. Carter.

She is survived by her two children, beautiful daughter-in-law, and two adorable grandchildren; daughter, Jane Carter, Washington, D.C.; son Frank 'Skip' Carter, his wife Cara, and the most precious little twins, Luke and Reese, Ft. Worth, Texas.

All whom loved her dearly and will never forget her beauty, tenacity, strength, wit, charm, grace, and undying love and caring for them. Judy was notoriously kind and generous. She loved nothing more than opening her home and her heart to friends, family, and even strangers. Our mother, grandmother, and friend will be missed.

Donations may be made in her name to P.E.O., Chapter DB, with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.

Condolences may be made to the family online at WWW.Brown¬Cummings.com
