Keith C. "Curly" Carpenter
November 16, 1929 ~ July 8, 2015


Keith C. Carpenter, 85, of Enid, was born November 16, 1929 to Beulah May and Herbert O. Carpenter on a farm at Medford, Oklahoma and died in Enid on July 8, 2015, with his family by his side.

He was the fifth child of nine and attended school in Medford until 1941 when the family relocated to Wichita, Kansas. He attended Junior High School in Wichita and High School in Havre De Grace, Maryland.

Keith then returned to Wichita and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in October of 1950. He was assigned to a Naval Air Patrol squadron and served in Korea, China, Okinawa and Alaska. He was awarded the Korean Service Medal, National Defense Medal, United Nations Medal, China Service Medal, the Air Medal and Good Conduct Medal.

Keith was honorably discharged in August of 1954 and then returned to Wichita, Kansas to work for the Boeing Airplane Co. in Wichita and then in Seattle, Washington, until 1966.

Keith was married to Marvalee Mae Hatcher in 1956 and they had three wonderful children

Later the family moved to Lahoma, Oklahoma and he worked at Vance Air Force Base in Enid until his retirement in 1994. Keith and Georgia Brown, of Enid, were married in 1988.

Keith was preceded in death by his wife Georgia, parents, four brothers, Floyd, Gerald, Leroy and Eugene, and grandson Craig Carpenter.

He is survived by his three children, Barbara Friend and husband David of Lahoma, Mark Carpenter and wife Carol of Enid, and Dana Randolph of Lahoma; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Norman Carpenter and wife Pat of Clearwater, Kansas, Herbert Carpenter, Jr. and wife Lena of Canada, and Don Kent of Derby, Kansas; one sister Dorothy Light of Semi Valley, California; other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Brian Meyer officiating. Military Honors by the U.S. Navy. A private family burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Georgia A. [Horn] Carpenter
January 3, 1933 ~ December 16, 2011


The funeral service for Georgia A Carpenter, age 78 will be held Tuesday at 1:00pm, December 20, 2011 at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev Eric Brown will officiate.

Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Georgia was born January 3, 1933 in Hennessey, OK to Albee Horn and Rhetha Callaway and died December 16, 2011 at St Mary's Regional Medical Center. She was born in Hennessey, OK before moving to Enid, where she attended school.

She married William Brown in 1949. She later married Keith Carpenter in 1988.

She worked at Gold Spot and also at Marquis Photo Studio. She retired from Northrop as a clerk.

She attended Saint Paul's Lutheran Church in Enid and Zion Lutheran Church in Lahoma. Georgia enjoyed watching hummingbirds gather on her back porch and had fond memories of family camping trips to Canton Lake.

Survivors include her husband, Keith of the home in Lahoma, two daughters, Dorothy Grifka of Cincinnati, OH and Cathy Brown of Wichita, KS; two brothers, Don Horn of Enid OK and Frank Hutchins of Wichita, KS; two sisters, Betty Moorman of Enid, OK and June Long of Tulsa OK; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church with the funeral home serving as custodian of the funds. Condolences may be sent to www.ladusauevans.com

S. Joyce [Luskin] Caepenter
March 9, 1943 ~ October 3, 2021


Mass of Christian Burial for S. Joyce Carpenter, 78, Enid resident, will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 10:00 am in Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Father John Herrera officiating. Committal prayers and interment will be held later in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Joyce was born on March 9, 1943 in Ludington, Michigan, the daughter of Louis Luskin and Regina Luskin, and passed away on October 3, 2021 in Enid.

She was raised In Ludington, Michigan, graduating from Saint Simon Catholic High School in Ludington, with the class of 1961. Joyce attended Nazareth College in Michigan.

Joyce married Ronald Carpenter on November 10, 1962. They moved to Pentwater, Michigan, moving to Carmi, Illinois, then to Enid in 1968 where they made their home.

Joyce worked as a realtor and real estate investor for many years.

She was a member of Saint Gregory The Great Catholic Church.; a volunteer at Our Daily Bread.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald of the residence; son, Ronald, II of Noble, Oklahoma; daughter, Kimberley and husband Chistopher Kelly of Enid; 8 Grandchildren Shanleigh Cole, Emily Phillips, Parker Kelly, Tucker Kelly, Jacquelyn Carpenter, Nicholas Carpenter, Michael Carpenter, Peter Carpenter; 5 great-grandchildren, Karleigh Cole, Laven Phillips, Ethan Phillips, Karsten Philips, Finn Kelly; sister, Marcia Tate of Tuscon, Arizona. A myriad of nephews and nieces. Sister-in law, Pat Kane and brother in law, Kelly Kane.

Joyce was preceded in passing by her parents, son, Tommy, brothers, Larry Luskin and Jack Luskin, sister Helen Schneider and in-laws, Howard and Emma Carpenter. The family has selected St. Joseph Catholic School as appropriate for memorial donation checks.
