She earned a master's degree in clinical psychology from Oklahoma State University and worked for the Oklahoma State Health Department for 10 years, helping troubled children and young adults. After moving to Florida in 1989, she was employed by Edward Jones and opened an office in downtown Venice, where she built a successful business over a 17-year period. As a financial adviser, she loved helping her clients and meeting new people throughout this period of her life.

As an accomplished singer and pianist, Carole spent many years entertaining people with her music. Her love for jazz and blues led her to form an all-female band during her college years, where she played in local clubs performing and playing the music she loved. She carried this passion and perfect pitch through life and never lost her love for singing and playing her piano. She passed her musical talent and passion on to her children and grandchildren.
