Memorial Park Cemetery



March 9, 1943 - October 3, 2021

Mass of Christian Burial for S. Joyce Carpenter, 78, Enid resident, will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 10:00 am in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Father John Herrera officiating. Committal prayers and interment will be held later in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.

Joyce was born on March 9, 1943 in Ludington, Michigan, the daughter of Louis Luskin and Regina Luskin, and passed away on October 3, 2021 in Enid.

She was raised In Ludington, Michigan, graduating from St. Simon Catholic High School in Ludington, with the class of 1961. Joyce attended Nazareth College in Michigan. Joyce married Ronald Carpenter on November 10, 1962. They moved to Pentwater, Michigan, moving to Carmi, Illinois, then to Enid in 1968 where they made their home.

Joyce worked as a realtor and real estate investor for many years. She was a member of St. Gregory The Great Catholic Church.; a volunteer at Our Daily Bread.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald of the residence; son, Ronald, II of Noble, Oklahoma; daughter, Kimberley and husband Chistopher Kelly of Enid; 8 Grandchildren Shanleigh Cole, Emily Phillips, Parker Kelly, Tucker Kelly, Jacquelyn Carpenter,Nicholas Carpenter, Michael Carpenter, Peter Carpenter; 5 great-grandchildren, Karleigh Cole, Laven Phillips, Ethan Phillips, Karsten Philips, Finn Kelly; sister, Marcia Tate of Tuscon, Arizona. A myriad of nephews and nieces. Sister-in law, Pat Kane and brother in law, Kelly Kane.

Joyce was preceded in passing by her parents, son, Tommy, brothers, Larry Luskin and Jack Luskin, sister Helen Schneider and in-laws, Howard and Emma Carpenter.

The family has selected St. Joseph Catholic School as appropriate for memorial donation checks.
