The funeral for Zachary Kyle Butler, 27, Tulsa,, 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016, in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Judith Shoemaker of Glendora Friends Church will officiate. Burial follows in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Zach was born July 28, 1989, in Greensburg, Kan., to Bruce and Gina (Smith) Butler, and died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016.

He was reared in Glendora, Calif., where he attended school and graduated with the class of 2007 from Glendora High School. After graduation, he began working with Allied-Barton Security in California, before moving to the Tulsa area in 2011.

He worked for with Baker-Hughes, and most recently with Summit ESP as a lead pump assembler technician. On April 12, 2016, he married Kristi Wilmoth in Tulsa, where the couple made their home.

He grew up in the Glendora Friends Church. Zach enjoyed fishing, was excellent with computers, and loved free-hand drawing and was an accomplished artist in that medium.

He is survived by his wife, Kristi of the home; parents, Gina Butler and Bruce Butler; brother, Drew; sister, Katelyn Newton and husband, Matt; maternal grandparents, Cecil Smith and Barbara Robbins; paternal grandmother, Barbara Hunt; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Omar Butler; and uncle, Matt Smith.
