Memorial Park Cemetery



Funeral service for Marjorie Lee (Adams) Butler, 93, Waukomis, is 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 25, 2018, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial follows in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

Marjorie was born February 9, 1925, in Douglas, Oklahoma, to Vorie Edwin and Lily Pearl (Mathews) Adams, and passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018, in Enid. Marjorie grew up in Douglas and graduated from Pioneer High School. On May 18, 1949, she married Jim Butler in Enid. Jim and Marjorie celebrated 67 years of marriage before his passing. She was a member of Central Christian Church, where she worked as the secretary for over 23 years, retiring in 1997. Marjorie was also a homemaker and raised her two children. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and embroidery. Marjorie also volunteered for several years at Integris Bass Baptist Hospital.

Marjorie is survived by her children, Vicki Roberds of Oklahoma City, and Ronald Butler (Lawana) of Enid; six grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jim, and sister, Marie Herrian.

Memorials may be made through the Anderson Burris Funeral Home to the Waukomis Fire Department, or Central Christian Church.
