The funeral for Robert Nicholas “Nick” Burton, 55, will be 2 p.m. today at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Neal Prock will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

He was born Feb. 5, 1952, in Oklahoma City to James Robert “Bob” and Marvene Butler Burton and died Friday, Feb. 9, 2007, in Enid.

He graduated from Enid High School in 1970. He worked for his father in Hennessey for 28 years at Independent Service Co. For the last five years, he was employed by Longhorn Service/PPS in Fairview.

He married Karen Johnson July 25, 1981, in Enid.

Surviving are his wife Karen; nine children, Andrea Burton Davis of Round Hill, Va., Nicholas Burton of Durant, Ronnie Decker of Enid, Rhonda Decker of Altus, Toby Smith of Enid; and Kayla, Tasha, Kara, and Patti Burton, all of the home; his mother, Marvene Burton; one sister, Janet McGinnis of Enid; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Robert Burton.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Nick Burton’s Children’s Fund.
