ENID — A private family graveside service for Marvene Burton, 80, will be Tuesday, April 12, 2011, in Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Neal Prock officiating. Arrangements are by Anderson - Burris Funeral Home.

Marvene was born to Marvin and Bertha (Ferguson) Butler on July 31, 1930, in Williams, Okla., and died Friday, April 8, 2011, in Enid.

Marvene grew up and attended school in Panama, graduating from Panama High School in 1948.

On Sept. 4, 1948, she married James Robert Burton in Van Buren, Ark. They made their home in Oklahoma City until moving to Enid in 1968.

Marvene's priorities in life were her faith in God and her family. She was generous with her family and friends, loved interior decorating and took great pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by daughter, Janet McGinnis of Enid; three grandchildren, Melissa McGinnis of Edmond, Annie Davis and husband Chad of League City, Texas, and Nicholas Burton and wife Candice of Durant; and six great-grandchildren.

Marvene was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Burton, and son Nick Burton.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donation be made to Central Assembly of God Church, Enid.
