Rites Sunday William L. Burdick

Funeral services for William L. Burdick 64, resident of Enid for the past 29 years, who died Thursday at his home will be held Saturday 2;30 pm from the Church of the Nazarene with the Rev Moore officiating.

Internment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

W. L. Burdick was the son of Samuel and Mary Watson Burdick,

He was born in Iowa, married to Lisa Brooks in Kansas and came to Ok about 1920.

Surviving are three daughters, Mr. Della Vincord, Mrs Pearl Little of Enid; Mrs Opal Drake of Southwest City, Missouri, and a son, William S. of Enid, a brother Pete Burdick of Enid and a sister, Mrs Jennie Brotmore of Albuquerque, NM

Burdick Service set for Thursday

Pallbearers for the funeral service of Peter T. Burdick, 69 which will be held in the chapel of the Fossett Funeral Home will be, John Brown; Raul Russell; Clint Thrasher; D. G. Tapp; Elmer Burdick; Jess Burdick; and Monzy Teininger.

Rev. D. M. Longagin will be in charge of the service and burial will be in the Memorial Park cemetery.

Mr Burdick, a care taker at Lake Hellims for the past four years, suffered a heart attack Monday afternoon and died about 7 o'clock that night.

He was a member of the Christian church.

William S, Burdick 46, of Wichita, KS died suddenly Friday night in an Enid hospital. He had been to Plainview, TX and was on his way home when stricken by a heart attack.

Survivors include a sister, Opal Drake of Southside City, MO, and several cousins in Enid and Wichita.

The funeral will be will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in the Darnall funeral home chapel. Pallbearers will be the members of the VFW and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Rites Sunday for Mrs W. S. Burdick

The funeral for Mrs. W. S. Burdick [Margaret Adeline] Wife of William S. Burdick, 19, who died in a local hospital yesterday, will be at the Brown Funeral Chapel tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 O'clock. The Rev Moore will officiate and burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

Surviving is her husband William Samuel Burdick, of the home; her parents; two sisters, amd one brother.

She was preceded in death by one son, Bobby.

Graveside services for Alice K Ukena Burdick, age 92, will be Friday, October 28, 2005 at 10 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev Kenneth Wade will officiate.

Arrangements made by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

She was born June 3, 1913 to Pearl Marion and Hallie Isabell Bryant in Kansas City, MO and died October 24, 2005.

She married Edwin John Ukena December 25, 1931.

He preceded her in death June 3, 1993.

She married Jesse Burdick.

She worked at Vance Air Force Base as a dental technician for many years.

She is survived by her sons: Bill T. and wife Dorothy Ukena of Oklahoma City, Dennis B and wife Ruth Ukena of Oakland, FL; grandchildren Todd Ukena and wife Mikela of Weatherford, TX, Lynn Lorenz and husband Jeff of Oklahoma City, Bryan Ukena of Clarksville, AR, Audrey Ukena of Orlando, FL, Bobby and Eddie Ukena of Enid; great grandchildren Chris Lorenz, Allison Lorenz of Oklahoma City, Lauren Mikela Ukena of Weatherford, TX and sister I'Lee Semrad of Enid.

She is preceded in death by her husband Edwin John Ukena, her parents, a brother J.M. Bryand, a son Robert T. Ukena and grandson Randy Ukena.

The family wants to thank Oklahoma County Hospice for the care of Alice.

Elmer Art Burdick
January 17, 1921 ~ October 13, 1992


Elmer A. Burdick was born Jan. 17, 1921 to Jesse L. and Maude Koch Burdick and recieved his education in the Enid school system.

He served in the U S Army during the second world war in Germany.

On September 8, 1938, Elmer married Dora Lorene Dodd in Medford, OK.

In 1945 Elmer went to work for the City of Enid as the building maintenance supervisor. He retired after 38 years of service.

Surviving are,three sons, Paul A. and his wife, Lois; Robert C. "Bob" and his wife Pat; and Clifford "Cliff" and his wife Kim,; two daughters, Lorene "Renie" and her husband, Mike Krienke; and Deborah "Debbie" and her husband, Mike Toone. Three sisters, Mary E. Sims; Eva Belle McMaster, Ruby M. Sparks; four brothers, Jesse L. Jr; Richard; Harold; and Evert, Twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Elmer was preceded in Death by his wife Dora on September 30, 1977, his parents and his brother John.

Dora Lorene Dodd Burdick was born February 14, 1922 near Chandler, Lincoln Co. Ok to Marion and Gladys Inez Edwards Dodd.

On September 8, 1938, Dora married Elmer Art Burdick in Medford, OK.

She passed away September 30, 1977 in Enid with her family beside her.

She was a loving wife and mother and the best Mother-in-law anyone could have. After her children were grown she sold Avon and worked part time at Virginia "B's".

She was preceded in death by her father Marion Dodd.

Robert Clint Burdick
October 21, 1940 ~ August 9, 2020


Robert Burdick was born October 21, 1940, in Enid, Okla., to Dora and Elmer Burdick, and died peacefully on August 9, 2020.

Robert served in the United States Air Force and was a former quarterback at Wichita State University.

Robert was a huge tennis enthusiast. His beloved daughter Michelle Burdick is a tennis pro in Houston, Texas.

He was married to Pat Burdick for 50 years.

He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Burdick; two sisters; two brothers; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bob will be dearly missed I love you dad.

Evert F. Burdick

The funeral for Evert F. Burdick, 81-year-old Enid resident, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Service is under direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Evert was born March 6, 1933, to Jesse L. and Maude E. [Koch] Burdick in Enid and died Friday, January 23, 2015, at his home in Enid.

Evert attended Harrison Grade School and Longfellow Junior High and graduated from Enid High School, where he was all-state in baseball, with the class of 1951.

In 1950, Evert married Mary Alice Caldwell, and to this union, four children were born: Michael, Johanna, Kathryn and Greg.

He worked for seismograph crews as a driller. In 1958, he was employed by George E. Failing Co. He retired after 37 years of service.

Evert loved his family. He enjoyed fishing and coaching little league football. Most of all, he loved Enid and the people who live here.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, three sisters and one son-in-law.

Evert is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary; sons, Mike Burdick and wife Donna of Broken Arrow, Greg Burdick and wife Karen of Owasso; daughters, Johanna Schmidt and husband Daryl of Fair Oaks, Penn., Kathy Shellady and special friend Peter Birkenfelder of Enid; granddaughters, Sarah Mae Burdick, Jennifer Koehl and husband Andy, Jessica Lasko and husband Mike, Jill Schmidt, Mary Prather and husband Brian, Candace Lopez and husband Mickey; grandsons, Christopher Burdick, Matthew Schmidt and wife Erica, Jayson Shellady and wife Christi, Brandon Shellady and wife Toni, Jeremy Shellady, Brent Burdick and wife Amy; as well as 10 great grandchildren.

Memorial donations can be given through the funeral home to charity of donor's choice.

Mary Alice [Caldwell] Burdick

There will be a private family funeral service for Mary Burdick, 88-year-old Enid resident, in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Mary was born October 5, 1933, in Enid to Walter and Vera [Keller] Caldwell and died Saturday, February 19, 2022, in Bass Hospital.

She attended local schools and graduated from Enid High School with the class of 1951.

On December 24, 1950, she married Evert Burdick in Enid. Evert's job kept the family moving to many towns and states in the early years of their marriage. They returned and settled in Enid in 1964.

Mary worked at the Enid State School and later worked at various doctors' offices as an assistant.

She volunteered at Integris Bass Baptist until last year.

She was a member of the "Golden Girls" that consisted of girls she graduated with. Mary enjoyed playing all kinds of games and was an accomplished needle-worker and crocheter.

Mary is survived by her four children, Michael Burdick [Donna] of Broken Arrow; Johanna Schmidt [Daryl] of Fair Oaks, PA, Kathy Shellady [Peter] of Enid, and Greg Burdick [Karen] of Owasso, OK; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; great granddaughter, McKenna Schmidt; as well as two sisters, Jo Ann Ewton and Sally Bauer.

Memorials may be given through the funeral home to OMRF [Heart Division] or The Commons Nursing Home in Enid.

Paul Art Burdick

Paul was born May 15, 1939, to Elmer and Dora Dodd Burdick at home in Enid, Oklahoma and passed from this life July 1, 2023, in Enid, Oklahoma.

He was raised and educated in Enid, graduating from Enid High School in 1957 where he played on the State Champion Basketball team. He then went on to attend Enid Business College and began working for the City of Enid in 1959.

He married his wife of sixty-four years, Lois Goodpasture, September 5, 1959, in the First Church of Christ, Enid, Oklahoma, from this union came three children.

He worked for the City of Enid in the engineering department for thirty eight years until his retirement in 1997; he then continued to volunteer as a groundskeeper for ten years.

He enjoyed fishing, golfing and working in his yard, winning yard of the month several times over the years and an occasional trip to the horse races.

He loved going to his grandchildren's events and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Lois Burdick, of the home, daughter Rhonda Gilmore, of Enid, sons Christopher Burdick and wife Carla of Enid, and Brian Burdick and wife Sara of Poteau, Ok., grandchildren, Richard and Laura Burdick, Cayla and Mat Nicolin, Crystal and Jesse Atkinson, Casie and Joe Johnson, Cady Gilmore and fiancé Chris Potter, Hudson Burdick, Harper Burdick, six great grandchildren, Chandler, Abigail, Chloe, Sutton, Watson and Mitt; and three siblings, Renie and Mike Krienke of Enid, Debbie and Mike Toone of Enid, and Cliff and Kim Burdick of Guthrie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Dora Burdick and one brother Bob Burdick.

van L. Burdick, age 70 died Saturday, August 5, 2017. He was born January 16, 1947 in Enid, OK to Jesse and Ann Jones Burdick.

He attended school in Enid and moved to OKC area in 1967. He worked primarily in the grocery wholesale business.

Ivan loved to fish, hunt, work in the garden and spend time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father Jesse.

Ivan is survived by the love of his life of 52 years Donna [Holt], his mother Ann, three daughters; Nina Burke and husband Patrick, Teresa Kizzar and husband Mike and Jessica Davis and husband Brad, grandchildren; Kyle and Haley Burke, Dusty Dalton, Dillon and Tabitha Kizzar and Daweson Davis, great-grandson Hector Ramos IV and by ten brothers and sisters.

The family will be celebrating the life of Ivan with a private family service.
