© Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma March 16, 2014 April 16, 1934 ~ March 14, 2014 ENID, OK - Funeral service for Paul Burchardt, 79, of Enid, Okla., will be 1 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2014, at World Harvest Church, with Pastors Brad Mendenhall and Mike Sturgeon officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory. Paul was born to Elmer and Mary [Lovell] Burchardt on April 16, 1934, in Marshall, Okla., and passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014, in Enid. Paul graduated from Marshall High School and attended NOC at Tonkawa. He married Nelda Swing on February 12, 1959, in Texas. He worked many years in the oil field as a production superintendent. Paul enjoyed miniature woodworking and loved visiting antique stores and flea markets. He was a member of World Harvest Church. Paul is survived by his wife, Nelda of the home; daughter, Tina Osborn and husband Bob of Enid; four grandchildren, Abbie Taborsky, Kevin Burchardt, Mindy Ellis and Eli Goins; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Scott K. Burchardt; and three brothers Kenneth, Charles and Jerry. Memorials may be made to World Harvest Church Building Fund or SPCA. Interment will be held privately in Memorial Park Cemetery. Service is under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. She was born to Floyd and Marcelle "Hahn" Klein in Enid July 30, 1945, and passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at her home. She married Jerry Burchardt November 16, 1973, in Enid. She worked at Suddenlink Cable Co. for nearly 30 years. She also co-owned Downtown Furniture with her husband. She is survived by two sons, Jarrod and wife Sandra of Enid, and Jamon of Enid, Venessa Burchardt and nine grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, her husband and one brother. Memorials may be made in her honor to the Diabetic Association, Oklahoma Kidney Research with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds. © Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Enid, Oklahoma May 2012 April 3, 1950 ~ May 20, 2012 Funeral service for Mr Jerry J. Burchardt, 62, of Enid, will be held privately with Rev David Jones Officiating. Service is under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. Jerry was born in Enid, Okla., on April 3, 1950, to Elmer and Mary Lovell Burchardt and passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012, in Enid. Jerry grew up in Enid, Marshal and Lamont, and attended Enid High School, graduating in 1968. He attended business collage in Alva. He attended business collage in Alva. He returned to Enid briefly before moving to Southwest City, Mo., where he owned and operated a resturant. He returned to Enid, where he met his wife. They were married November 16, 1973, in Enid. He was in retail sales most of his life; from selling cars at Northcutt to managing Marquis furniture stores in Enid, Norman and Weatherford, and co-owner of B-Mart. He also owned Downtown Furniture and later helped his brother open and operate Burchardt Furniture until his retirement, due to health reasons. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Sherry of the home; sons, Jarrod and wife Sandra, and Jamon, all of Enid; nine grandchildren; and brothers, Kenneth and Paul, both of Enid. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Charles. Memorials may be made in his name to American Diabetes Association or Oklahoma Medical Research, kidney division, with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
