© Enid Daily News Enid, Oklahoma May 11, 1959 April 4, 1883 ~ May 10, 1959 Charley T. Bull, 76, was found dead at his home at 2800 East Birch Sunday afternoon by his son, Lloyd. Charley was born in Ravana, Buffalo County, now part of Finney County, Kansas. He was the son of John Bull & Martha Ann [Clarkson] Bull. He moved to Cimarron, Kansas where he married Minnie M. Hale, May 1, 1907. In 1912 he moved to DeQueen, Ark., and in 1925 he moved with his wife and family to Enid, so his oldest daughter could attend Phillips university. He was a member of the Christian church. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs Leona Wisley of Cedar Rapids, Iowa., Mrs Virginia Lloyd of Enid; two sons, Lloyd A. Bull of Enid; and Ralph E. Bull of Waukegan, Ill.; one sister and brother-in-law, Mr and Mrs Clyde Hanna, Sedro Woolley, Wash.; nine grandsons and one granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Darnall Funeral Home chapel. Rev Robert G. Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery. |

The funeral for Lloyd Albert Bull, 80, who died Wednesday of a heart attack, will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Davis Park Christian Church. The Rev Tom Frisbee will officiate, and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Heninger-Allen Funeral Home. He was born July 15, 1910, in Cimarron, Kansas, to Charley T. and Minnie Minton Hale Bull. He attended school in DeQueen, Ark., graduated from Enid High School. He attended Phillips University, graduating in 1932. He married Rosa Mae Boatright, of Norman, on July 15, 1935, in Enid, where they lived. Bull worked for Long Bell Lumber Co., and retired from Champlin Petroleum Co. in 1972, after working there for 30 years. He was a chemist for Champlin Refinery. He was a member of Davis Park Christian Church, and a Sunday school teacher. He was also the holder of the Boy Scouts Silver Beaver Award. Other organizations Bull was affiliated with include, Garfield County Senior Citizens,AARP, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and Champlin retirees. He was preceded in death by an infant son and a sister, Leona Wisely. Surviving are his wife; five sons, Robert of Okmulgee, Kenneth of Colorado Springs, Colo., John of Houston, Texas, Willard of Bartlesville, and Charles of Broken Arrow; one sister, Virginia Lloyd of North Enid; one brother, Ralph Earl Bull of Loveland, Colo.; and nine grandchildren. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Davis Park Christian Church or the Gideon Bible Society. |

The funeral for Rosa Mae Bull, 82, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Davis Park Christian Church with Tom Frisbie, minister of Davis Park Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. She was born June 24, 1913, in Lexington to Robert and Katie Ratterman Boatright and died Monday, June 10, 1996, at Golden Oaks Village. She graduated from Norman High School in 1933. She moved to Enid in 1935. She married Lloyd A Bull in Enid on July 15, 1935. He preceded her in death in 1990. She was a member of Davis Park Christian Church, Rebecca I.O.O.F., Senior Citizens and the Christian Women's Fellowship. Surviving are five sons, Robert L. of Okmulgee, W. Kenneth of Colorado, John D. of Houston, Texas, Willard E. of Bartlesville, and Charles A. of Broken Arrow; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Fern Haddock of Newcastle, and Phronia Paine of Enid. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, two sisters, and one brother. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research, Cancer Foundation, Golden Oaks Chapel, Inc., or Gideons. |

© Anderson~Burris Funeral Home Enid, Oklahoma June 2013 July 3, 1938 ~ June 25, 2013 The funeral service for Kenneth Bull, age 74, will be at 10:00 AM Friday, June 28, 2013, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with his cousin, Chuck Lloyd officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Kenneth was born to Lloyd Albert and Rosa Mae [Boatright] Bull on July 3, 1938 in Enid, and went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, in Enid after an extended illness. Ken graduated from Enid High School in 1956, Phillips University in 1960 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, and earned his Masters Degree from Oklahoma State University in 1964, and his PhD of Education from OSU in 1974. In 1960, Ken joined the US Border Patrol, but was drafted into the US Army in 1960 after graduation was assigned to a base in Germany. Ken traveled throughout Europe and later was a tour guide for student international tour groups. While in college, Ken worked for the Rock Island and Santa Fe Railroads as a switchman in their Enid districts. His last summer he worked for the U.S. Forestry Service clearing fire trails near Crater Lake National Park, Oregon. Ken was married to Jeri Buckner from 1974 - 2001. They adopted an infant son William Drew Bull in 1994, who was the love of his life. Ken has worked as a teacher, councilor, principal, and superintendent in several school districts in Oklahoma, Kansas, New Mexico, and Colorado. He was active in his church and the Republican Headquarters in Colorado Springs. He helped start El Paso County Republican Strategic Forum. He lived thirty years in Colorado and loved the mountains. In 1986, Ken started his own remodeling business in Colorado Springs. He later purchased a lot on Highpoint Lane overlooking downtown, and built his dream home. Ken is survived by his son, William Drew Bull of Colorado Springs; three brothers, John Bull and wife Lavina of Houston, Willard Bull and wife Linda of Ponca City, and Charles Bull and wife Marilyn of Broken Arrow; sister-in-law Phyllis Bull of Bartlesville; 16 nieces and nephews; 29 great nephews and nieces; 2 great, great; and numerous close students and friends. |
