Herschel l. Bules, 55, owner and operator of Bules Water Well Supply, died Thursday evening (November 8, 1979) at his home of an apparent heart attack. Service will be at 2 pm today in the Christ United Methodist Church with Dr. Bill Mourer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Brown Funeral Home.

Bules was born at Jefferson and at an early age moved with his parents to Pond Creek where he graduated from High School in 1942. He entered the United States Army Air Force in October of 1942 and became second lieutenant. He served in the Pacific Theater for over a year as a P-38 pilot. On March 31, 1945, he married Jo Goldsmith at Pond Creek, They lived at Norman while he was a student at the University of Oklahoma. He graduated from the University with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering. In 1951, the couple moved to Enid where he was associated with the Engineering Department of George E. Failing Co. for over 13 years then served several years as head of the Research and Development Department. In 1964, he founded the Bules Water Well Supply.
