Herschel L. Bules


Herschel l. Bules, 55, owner and operator of Bules Water Well Supply, died Thursday evening, November 8, 1979, at his home of an apparent heart attack.

Service will be at 2 pm today in the Christ United Methodist Church with Dr Bill Mourer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Brown Funeral Home.

Bules was born at Jefferson and at an early age moved with his parents to Pond Creek where he graduated from High School in 1942.

He entered the United States Army Air Force in October of 1942 and became second lieutenant. He served in the Pacific Theater for over a year as a P-38 pilot.

On March 31, 1945, he married Jo Goldsmith at Pond Creek. They lived at Norman while he was a student at the University of Oklahoma.

He graduated from the University with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering.

In 1951, the couple moved to Enid where he was associated with the Engineering Department of George E. Failing Co. for over 13 years then served several years as head of the Research and Development Department.

In 1964, he founded the Bules Water Well Supply.

September 10, 2008 ~ August 10, 2015


Funeral for Buck Maverick Bules, 6, of Enid, Okla., will be held at Grace World Outreach Church in Enid, Okla., at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, August 13, 2015, with the Rev Wayne Bland officiating.

Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Buck was born Sept. 10, 2008, and passed away on Monday, Aug. 10, 2015, at Integris Baptist Health Center, Oklahoma City. His birth place was in Oklahoma City to Jason and Bethany Briggs Bules. He lived in Enid, Okla., with his parents and siblings. He was blessed to have two sisters, Bailey Bules, 10, and Harley Bules, 1, and also one brother, Blaine Unruh, 7.

Buck was diagnosed with AxD, Alexanders Disease, at the age of three. He overcame many obstacles that they said he never would. The disease is what took him after six years of staying strong and fighting through it. He loved attending school at Hoover Elementary and looked forward to seeing his teachers every day. He was a much loved boy and anyone that ever met him would agree without a doubt. His personality was undeniably amazing. He was outgoing and always wanted to help people when he could. Everyone who knew Buck was lucky to have such a sweet, loving and absolutely wonderful boy in their presence. He lived an extraordinary life! Buck will always be very loved and missed!

Buck is survived by his parents, Jason and Bethany Bules; his sisters, Bailey and Harley Bules; and his brother, Blaine Unruh. Buck also is survived by all his grandparents including, Beth and Billy Briggs, Warren and Michelle Adams, Greg and Becky Bules and Donna Bules.
