She was a dedicated member of Harvest Time Worship Center, where she was involved in the prayer ministry and Christmas ministry for Special Ed children. Betty loved to be surrounded by her friends and family, and loved to talk on the phone to them. She especially enjoyed gathering with her neighbors, what she affectionately referred to as "neighboring."

Betty is survived by her three daughters, Theresa Roberts and husband Carl of Enid, Paula Egner and husband Allen of Chattanooga, TN, Susan Korth and husband Steve of Lee's Summit, MO; six grandchildren, Emily Case and husband, Capt. Jason Case, Brandon and Jonathan Roberts, Jesse Nelson and wife, Bethanie, Brittney and Andrew Korth; one great-granddaughter expected in March 2009; two brothers, William Franks of Erie, IL, and David Franks of Mountain Home, AR; and four sisters, Linda Nache and Dorothy Lopez, both of Moline, IL, Jackie Lopez and Sheila Rogers, both of Springfield, OH. Betty was also survived by her beloved dog, Peanut.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, one brother, and husband of 50 years, Jack Buchanan
