July 29, 1909 ~ 2006


A graveside service for Gertrude E. "Mollie" Bruce, 96, of Dayton, Ohio, formerly of Enid, will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Bradford-Connelly and Glicker, Dayton.

She was born July 29, 1909, in Pittsburgh, and died Friday, April 28, 2006, at Hospice of Dayton.

She moved to Enid in 1948 with her husband, Robert, while he served in the Air Force. She was manager of the Vance Air Force Base PX snack bar for many years. She later worked at Union Equity Cafe and Joe's Bakery. She was a member of Davis Park Christian Church, TOPS and ABW.

Surviving are three nieces one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, two sisters and three brothers.

Darren Tracy Bruce
November 1, 1961 ~ April 19, 2015


Tracy was born in Independence, Mo., on November 1, 1961, and passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, April 19, 2015.

A visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today, April 23, 2015, followed by a funeral service from 4-6 p.m. Friday, April 24, at Gorman-Scharf Funeral Home in Springfield, Mo. After the service on Friday.

Tracy will be cremated as per his wishes. We are having a grave site service for interment at Memorial Park Cemetery, Garden of Peace, in Enid, Okla., at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 25.

Tracy is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Lucinda Bruce; his one and only child, the apple of his eye, Christina Bruce-Jones; and two granddaughters, Jozalynn and Meeka, the absolute joys of his life and his sole reason for living. Tracy also is survived by three brothers, David Bruce, Brian Bruce and Dennis Bruce, and three sisters, Jane Ann Collier, Dede Bruce-Young and Teggie Bruce-Bryant and one uncle, Roy Emory McReynolds, Long Beach, Calif.

Tracy also is survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and too many friends that he considered as family.

Tracy was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley Jane and Wilfred Hackney Bruce.

In lieu of flowers, Christina is asking for donations instead. Any and all donations can be made through the funeral home, Gorman-Scharf Funeral Home, via phone at [417] 886-9994.
