A private family memorial service for Richard James Brown, 54, will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Cemetery Garden Chapel. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory. There will be no viewing or visitation at the funeral home.

He was born Oct. 26, 1953, in Sayre to Jack Leon and Georgia Ann Butricks Brown and died Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, in Enid.

He graduated from Enid High School in 1972. He served in the Army from 1972 to 1974. After his discharge, he returned to Enid and worked as a mechanic at Northcutt’s, Landwehr Motors, Jantzen’s and Enid Diesel.

Surviving are his mother, Georgia Brown of Enid; one son, Buddy Brown of Enid; one brother, Gary Brown; and three sisters, Diana Morgan, Patty Harris and Carolyn Wichert.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother.

Memorials may be made to Ross Hospice or Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Huntington disease.
