The funeral services celebrating and honoring the life of Judy Brower, 76, of Enid, will be held 1:30 P.M. Friday August 20, 2021, in the Enid First Baptist Church with Pastor Danny Ringer officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held in Elk City, OK on Saturday, August 21, at First Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m.

Judy was born June 1, 1945 to Marvin and Iris Swinehart in Oklahoma City and passed from this life August 17, 2021, in Enid, Oklahoma.

She was raised and educated in Clinton graduating from Clinton High School in 1963. During high school she worked at Saltzman Flower Shop and so began her lifelong love of designing beautiful floral arrangements. She then attended college at OU and later worked at the Daily Oklahoman. She married Charles "Mickey" Brower July 9, 1965, in First Baptist Church, Clinton. The couple lived in Fort Worth, Oklahoma City, Mustang, Jenks, Enid and Elk City following the path of her husband's career. From 1987 to 2005 the couple owned the Flamingo Restaurant in Elk City. Recently they moved to Enid to be near family in 2018.

She was a devoted member of the Elk City First Baptist Church for over thirty years. Of those years, twenty-two years she served as the church hostess. She worked tirelessly always organizing and cooking wonderful homemade dinners for all the church functions, family and friends. All her special recipes drew admiration and later were published in a cookbook. She was a gifted crafter and could create and fix absolutely anything.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Mickey Brower of the home, two daughters, Traci Wright and husband Mark, and Kelly Anderson and husband Patrick, all of Enid; four grandchildren, Katlyn and Lauren Anderson and Andrew and Michael Wright; two sisters, Pam and Joe Martin of Stillwater, OK and Karen and Richard Young, of Houston, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Iris Swinehart of Elk City, OK.

Memorials may be given in her honor to her granddaughter's philanthropic organization, Foster Feet, with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds. Judy and Mickey donated the first pair of shoes to Foster Feet.

Condolences and special memories may be shared with the family online at www.Brown-Cummings.com.
