November 23, 1931 - July 26, 2011

Funeral Service for Wayne W. Brokar, 79, Enid, will be Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Susan Southall officiating of The First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Wayne was born November 23,1931 in Dodge City, Kansas to Wilbur Brokar and Maxine Brokar Applegate and died July 26, 2011 at The Methodist Care Center in Enid. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He graduated from Blair Business College in Colorado Springs, Colorado and worked as an accountant there. He married Angela Fontaine in 1962 and they had three children.

After his retirement in 1994, he moved to Enid to be near his mother and sister.

Wayne loved to hunt and fish. His hobbies also included collecting antique bottles, coin and duck decoys. His greatest love was his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gene Brokar of Caldwell, Kansas. Survivors include two daughters: Jasmine Alexis of Austin, Texas and Novia Davis of Colorado Springs, Colorado; son: Mark Alexis of Lakewood, Colorado; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; two sisters: Brenda Gregory of Enid and Jan Braafhart of Lakewood, Colorado; special brother-in-law, Garry Gregory; special nieces, Michelle Bixler and Kaylee Gregory all of Enid.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Circle of Love with Brown-Cummings as custodian of the funds.
