Briggs, 66 will be 2 PM Friday, May 10, 2002 at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel, Enid with the Rev Archie Klusmeyer officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Shirley was born August 29, 1935, to John and Ruby Love Ging of Helena, Oklahoma and died Monday, May 6, 2002 at Integris Baptist Hospital. She attended Helena High School. On December 16, 1951, she married John C. Hess Jr at the First Presbyterian Church, Enid. He preceded her in death December 29, 1979. She was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church. Shirley was a loving person to God, her husband, children and many friends. On May 12, 1989 she married Charles J. Briggs at Trinity Baptist Church. They made their home in Enid. Survivors include her husband Charles, of the home, one daughter Jody Kuberskey and husband Terry of Enid, one son John Hess and wife June of Paris, Arkansas and stepson Steve Briggs and wife Cheryl of Enid, one stepdaughter Sherri Stetnish and husband James of Noblesville and 11 grandchildren. Also two sisters, Francis Davis of Helena, Norma Hoskins and husband Jim, two brothers, Jess Ging of Helena, and Matthew Ging of Enid. She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Hess Jr, one grandson, Andrew John Kuberskey, her parents, John Ging and Ruby Love Ging, one sister, Doris Smith, two brothers, Ivan Ging, Milford "Gus" Ging, and one stepdaughter Janice K. Briggs Pettyjohn. |
© Enid Morning News Enid, Oklahoma November 1990 July 7, 1990 ~ Movember 15, 1990 The funeral for Amber Dawn Briggs, four month old daughter of Billy and Michelle Briggs Jr, will be at 3:30 PM Sunday at Henninger-Allen Funeral Home. Lendal Bolin will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. She died early Thursday at St. Mary's hospital. Besides her parents, she is survived by one brother, Daylon Glenn of the home; two sisters, Chelsey D-Ann and Bethany Sue, both of the home; maternal grandparents, Mr and Mrs Robert Otto of Enid; paternal grandparents, Mr and Mrs Billy J. Ashworth of Checotah; and great grandparents, Eunice C. Grogan of Enid, Glenn Stayton of Joplin, Missouri, and Iva Beach of Gettysburg, South Dakota. |
