Alvin Julius "Al" Briesemeister Jr
August 20, 1926 ~ July 19, 2020


Graveside services for Alvin Julius "Al" Briesemeister Jr., age 93, of Enid, are at 2:00 pm, Friday, July 24, 2020, in the Mausoleum in Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Peter Olson and Rev Dr Dan Thimell will officiate.

The United States Army will provide military honors. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Al was born August 20, 1926, in Ottine, Texas, to Alvin Julius Briesemeister Sr, and Lillian Louis [Raube], and passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020, in Enid.

Al served his country in the United States Army during World War II where he earned the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Ribbon with a Bronze Star. He was honorably discharged having earned the rank of Master Sergeant in March of 1946.

He married Martha Jane Weigang on June 8, 1948 in Seguin, Texas, whom he first met in Sunday School at Emmanuel Lutheran Church at age 3. They went to school together, were confirmed in church together, and graduated together in the class of 1943 from Seguin High School. Al and Martha Jane were also both graduates of Texas Lutheran College in Seguin, Texas. They were blessed to know each other for 90 years and were married for 72 of them.

They had one son, Thomas, who preceded his father in death on August 23, 2014.

Al was a customer engineer for IBM, where he was employed for 39 years before his retirement.

He and Martha Jane were members of Faith Lutheran Church of Enid.

Al is preceded in death by his parents, Al and Lillian Briesemeister; son, Thomas, brother, Henry "Hayden" Briesemeister; and a sister, Lois Fisher. He is survived by his wife Martha, of Enid; and brother, Charles Briesemeister, of Wichita Falls, Texas.

Memorial contributions in Al's name may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, The Commons, or a charity of choice with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

Martha Jane [Weigang] Briesemeister
June 2, 1926 ~ January 5, 2024


Funeral services for Martha Jane Weigang Briesemeister will be 11:00 am, Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Faith Lutheran Church with Rev Dan Thimell officiating.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 5pm-6pm, Friday at the funeral home.

Martha was born June 2, 1926 in Seguin, Texas to Oscar and Bianca [Tieken] Weigang and passed away January 5, 2024. She married Alvin Briesemeister, Jr on June 8, 1948, they were married for 72 years, before his passing in 2020.

Martha moved to the Enid area in 1971. She worked for Enid Public Schools as well as the State Board of Education as a secretary for 15 years.

Martha was a member for Faith Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her Grandson, Chris Frazier and wife Stephanie; great grandchildren, Christian Frazier and wife Kate, Aspen Frazier; great great grandson, Lukas Frazier, of Pottsboro, Texas; brother, Oscar Weigang Eastbrook, Maine; daughters-in-law, Marion McPherson of Pottsboro, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, and loving friends.

Martha is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alvin "Al" Briesemeister Jr; and son, Thomas "Tom" Briesemeister.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Commons for their love and care of Martha.

Thomas Briesemeister
August 15, 1953 ~ August 23, 2014


Service of Remembrance and Celebration of Life for Thomas A. Briesemeister, 61, of Enid, Okla., will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Daniel Thimell officiating. A private inurnment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Cremation was under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Thomas was born August 15, 1953 in San Antonio, Texas the son of Alvin and Martha Jane Weigang Briesemeister and died August 23, 2014 in Enid, OK.

His working career included the oil Field, construction and sales.

He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.

His hobby was caring for and riding his motorcycle.

He will be remembered as a great son, father and grandfather.

Survivors include his son, Chris Frazier and his wife Stephanie of Pottsboro, Texas, grandchildren, Christian and Aspen, his parents, Alvin and Martha Jane Briesemeister of Enid, aunts, uncles and cousins and his two dogs, Cato and Casey.

Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice, with Ladusau-Evans as custodian of the funds.
