The funeral for Agnes Catherine Brewster is 11 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017, at the First United Methodist Church with Chaplain Jeff Baker officiating. Burial follows in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Agnes was born Nov. 2, 1918, to Clarence and Clora (Embree) Tharp at their farm home in Beaver County and passed away April 14, 2017, in Enid. Her family moved to Hutchinson, Kan. when Agnes was four years old. She attended kindergarten at Central School in Hutchinson, and the family lived there until Agnes entered Junior High. Her family then returned to Forgan, where she and her younger sister, Lila, finished their schooling. Agnes married Hiller Hitchcock in 1937 and the couple had two children, Donna and Gene. After Hiller passed away, Agnes and the children moved to Enid, where she attended Enid Business College. She married Ed Brewster in 1957, and the couple was happily married for 39 years until Ed's passing in 1996.

Agnes is survived by her daughter, Donna Clift of Edmond; grandchildren, Suzanne Clift of Enid; Scott Clift, his wife, Anna and their children, Caitlin and Ryan.

She was preceded by her husband and son, Gene; four sisters, Helen, Gladys, Nina and Lila.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, with Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home acting as custodians of the fund.
