The funeral for Richard Harold Brashear, 87, of Enid, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017, at St. Gregory's The Great Catholic Church, with the Rev. Joseph Irwin officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Richard was born March 16, 1929, in Dewey, Okla., to Otto and Addie Brashear, and passed away on Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, in Enid. He was a retired electrician in the U.S. Army, also serving in the Korean War. He married Maria Arana on Aug. 20, 2007, in Enid. Richard loved fishing and playing pool. He was always happy, never worrying about anything, loved kids, and always enjoyed being around people. He had a young soul, never letting anything slow him down. Richard always said he had a good life.

He is survived by his wife Maria and several loving friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 sisters; Gertrude, Audrey, Gene and Olivia.
