OBITUARY

Kathy Branstetter has returned home to her beloved Jesus. She will always remain in our hearts as a most loving wife, mom, grandmother and friend. She lived her faith through Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior throughout her 17-year battle with cancer.

Services for Kathy, 56, of Enid, will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17, 2007, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Miller officiating. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Kathy was born May 23, 1951, in Oklahoma City, the daughter of Lester and Louise McCarty Moydell and died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. She moved to Enid where she graduated from Enid High School in 1969, attended Oklahoma State University and Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva. She completed her bachelor’s of arts degree at Phillips University in 1973.

Kathy married Jack Branstetter in Enid on Feb. 17, 1973. She worked in advertising for TG&Y; Stores from 1973 to 1977. Kathy worked for the Boy Scouts of America until the birth of their first child, Taylor, after which she became a full-time mom and homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Jack, of the home; son, Taylor and wife Tisha and their children, Dawson and Ella Kathryn of Enid; daughter Aly Branstetter of Oklahoma City; a brother, David and wife Anita Moydell and niece Rebecca and husband Justin Kinslow, all of Chickasha; Tisha’s parents, Larry and Shirlee Barton of Enid; best friend and adopted sister, Diane Dortch, of San Antonio, TX; and best friend, Teresa Paine of Norman. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Memorials may be made in Kathy’s memory to Relay for Life with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
