The funeral for Bernice Brakhage, 81, will be held today, Feb. 10, 2007, at 10 a.m. at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Marilyn Murray will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

She was born June 5, 1925, in Burrton, Kan., to Jake and Amelia (Becker) Koehn and died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007, in The Commons.

The family moved to Enid in 1925. She married Alvin Brakhage on Oct. 20, 1946, in Enid. He died Jan. 18, 1984. She was a member of the First Assembly of God.

She is survived by three daughters, Peggy Garren of Norman, Okla., Connie Easterly of Enid, Cathy Fuller of Katy, Texas; two sons, Ron Brakhage of Oklahoma City, Don Brakhage of Fairmont, Okla.; two sisters, Ruby Koehn of Meno, Mildred Koehn of Wichita, Kan.; three brothers, Orville Koehn of Enid, Leonard Koehn of Baxter Springs, Kan., Howard Koehn of Newton, Kan.; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Bobby, Virgil and Marvin.

Memorials may be made to First Assembly of God with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home as custodian of the funds.
