ENID — The graveside service for Reba M. Steddum Bonnett will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2011, at Memorial Park Cemetery. Andy Teague will officiate. Services are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. There will be a time of visitation with family present Sunday, July 24, 2011, from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Reba was born September 8, 1917, in Hunter, Oklahoma, to George and Alva (Brower) Mallender. She moved to Enid at the age of seven and attended Enid Public Schools, graduating in 1935. In 1937, she married John J. Steddum, and to this union two daughters were born, Beverly and Debi. They owned and operated Steddums Grocery in North Enid for 25 years. John passed away in 1968, and she moved into Enid. Reba then went to work for George E. Failing for the next 20 years. In 1974, she married Wesley G. Bonnett, and he died in 1986. In 1992, she began working part-time for RSVP.

Since 1951, she had been a member of First Baptist Church. Reba was also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

She was preceded in death by her parents and both husbands.

Reba is survived by her daughters, Beverly Gaede of North Enid and Debi Stockwell of Edmond; three grandchildren, Lance Gaede of Yukon, Scott Gaede of Enid and Jamie Zink of Tulsa; six great-grandchildren; two stepchildren, Jan Greer of Enid and David Bonnett of Hunter; three stepgrandchildren and one bonus child, Bennie Mullins.

Memorials can be given in Reba’s name to RSVP or First Baptist Church with Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home acting as custodians of the fund. Condolences may be made to the family online at www.enidwecare.com.
