Memorial service for Merna Mae “Mae” Bonnett will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, at Willow Road Christian Church. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mae was born Dec. 12, 1929, to Earnest C. and Farol (Baker) Massie of rural Nash, Okla., and passed away peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, in San Antonio, Texas.

Mae graduated from Nash High School in 1948, after which she attended Enid Business College.

She was employed at Montgomery Ward and at T&W Tire Co. in Enid, where she loved her fellow employees and customers.

Mae enjoyed gardening, fishing, puzzles, bookkeeping and spending time with her family and friends who appreciated her fun personality and witty sense of humor.

Mae is survived by two children, Charles W. “Chuck” Byrd and wife, Mary, and Gayla Marie Williamson and husband, Bob; six grandchildren, Amie Rodgers (Brian), Michael Byrd (Emily), Kasey Zaloudek (T.J.), Kelly Byrd, Rachel Galbreath (Kevin) and Tyler Williamson; five greatgrandchildren, Blake and Kylie Rodgers and Madison, Macie and Ethan Byrd; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Erna Marie Borth and Bobbie Jean Short; and a daughter, Mary Ann Byrd.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to donor’s choice.
