Hunter – funeral services for Mrs. Wesley (Joy) Bonnett, 43, who died Wednesday evening in an Enid hospital after a period of ill health, will be at 2:30 PM Sunday in the Hunter Christian church.

Rev. Ed Faxon will officiate and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Anderson Funeral Home of Garber.

Mrs. Bonnett was born September 28, 1925, in Enid and grew up in the Hunter community where she attended school. After graduation she entered nurses' training and on December 28, 1943, she was married to Wesley Bonnett in Louisville, Kentucky.

Following World War I I they settled on a farm southwest of Hunter, later moving north of Hunter.

She was a member of the Christian Church and was active in church, school and community affairs.

She is survived by her husband Wesley of the home; one daughter, Janette, of the home; two sons, Bruce and David, both of the home; her parents Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Whitmire, Hunter; a brother, W. D. Whitmire, Santa Rosa, California.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation in Mrs. Bonnett's memory. Anderson Funeral Home, Garber, will act as custodians of the fund.
