Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Don was born to Clarence E. and Lennie Katherine [Snider] Bonebrake on October 13, 1924, in Cushing and died Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at his home in Enid. He grew up in Cushing. On September 1, 1951, he married Delila "Dee" Clay in Oklahoma City. They made their home in Enid. Don was a conductor for Santa Fe Railroad for over 43 years. He was a member of U.T.U. and Garland Baptist Church. Don is survived by his wife, Dee; son, Ricky and Debbie Bonebrake of Enid; daughter, Karen and Bill Spain of Sand Springs; seven grandchildren, Patti Farris, Donnie Farris, April Guffey, Sally Grimes, Victoria, Maci and Sarah Bonebrake; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Melva and Al Furman of Stillwater and Elaine and Glen Blasier of Enid; two sisters-in-law, Alberta Bonebrake and Fayrene Bonebrake; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Pam; two brothers; and one sister. Memorials may be made to OMRF, cancer division. © Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma September 3, 2022 August 11, 1924 ~ August 30, 2022 The funeral service for Delila "Dee" Irene Bonebrake, 98, will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Billy Benson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 at the funeral home. Dee was born to Albert and Carrie Bell [Hawkins] Clay on August 11, 1924, in Ringling, and died Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at her home in Enid. She grew up in Ringling. On September 1, 1951, she married Donavan "Don" Bonebrake in Oklahoma City, and they made their home in Enid. Dee was a relator, homemaker, and pharmacy technician at Phillips Drug. She was a member of Friends and Neighbors Extension Club and attended Garland Road Baptist Church. Dee quilted, was a seamstress and gardened. Dee is survived by her son, Ricky and Debbie Bonebrake, of Enid; five grandchildren, April Horner, Sally Grimes, Victoria Blevins, Maci and Sarah Bonebrake; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters-in-law, Elaine Blasier and Alberta Bonebrake; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter Pam, parents, and siblings. Memorials may be made to OMRF-Diabetic Foundation. Condolences may be made online at www.andersonburris.com |
