Funeral services for Janice Rhea Blevins, 63, of Enid, will be 1 p.m. today, Oct. 22, 2008, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Miller officiating. Private family burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. Janice was born March 28, 1945, in Hobart, Okla., the daughter of Don and Erma Martin Coates and went to be with the Lord on Monday, Oct. 20, 2008, at her home after battling cancer. She was raised and educated in Lone Wolf, where she graduated from high school.

On July 27, 1962, she married Pat Blevins in Lone Wolf. She was co-owner with her husband, Pat and their children, of Jumbo Foods for 22 years. She had lived in Enid for 32 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church and in the adult Sunday school class, Chi Beta Study Club and a mentor for First Presbyterian Church tutoring group. Janice enjoyed supporting the YWCA, YMCA, Horn of Plenty and the Oklahoma Food Bank. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Her true joy was her grandchildren. In the spring, she enjoyed going to the lake and seeing the dogwoods bloom, and in the summertime, she enjoyed watching crepe myrtles bloom

She is survived by her husband, Pat, of the home; sons, Gerald and wife, Leslie, of Enid and Mike and wife, Angie, of Enid; daughter, Pamela and husband, Mike, Huston of Enid; eight grandchildren, Scarlet VanCleave, Allie Blevins, Madison Blevins, Patrick Blevins, Austin Blevins, Brooks Huston, Lexi Blevins, Gunner Huston; stepmother, Gwendolyn Coats of Junction City, Kan.; brother, Michael Coates of Mountain Home, Ark.; three sisters, Teresa, Sally and Stacy. Janice was preceded in death by one grandson, Taylor Torbett Blevins, and her parents.
