A Celebration of Life service for Wayne E. Blaser, 83, Enid, is 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Kenneth Wade officiating. Burial follows in Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. this evening, June 20, 2017, at the funeral home.

Wayne was born Jan. 11, 1934, in Garber, to Ralph and Mary Ruth Bodes Blaser and passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017, in St. Mary's Regional Hospital. He grew up in the Garber community, graduating from Garber High School in 1948. He joined the U.S. Air Force, serving 4 years. Wayne farmed most of his life. He married Phyllis Timm on Feb. 9, 1991, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Wayne was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He served on the Garber CO-OP Board for 40 years.

He is survived by his wife Phyllis, of the home, son Wayne Schoeling and wife Becky of Hunter, daughter Timberly Schoeling of Enid, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three sisters; Loraine Cook of Grand Junction, Colo., Elain Bonine of Grove, and Anita Lavicky and husband Tom of Enid, and several nieces and nephews.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Ramona McNickel, daughter Cynthia Riggs, brother-in-law Glen McNickle and nephew David McNickle.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or OMRF Heart Division, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
