Elma Blanche [Vanderford] Bixler
April 6, 1926 ~ May 1, 2007


The funeral for Blanche Bixler, 81, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The Rev Steve Meier will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

She was born April 6, 1926, in Stark, Kansas, to Hugh and Leah Drake Vanderford and died Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at her home in Enid.

She married Charles Neal Bixler February 21, 1943, in Waynoka. He died November 6, 1998.

She worked at St Mary’s Regional Medical Center in food service for 25 years and was a member of Assembly of God Church.

Surviving are her children, Shirley Clem, Pam Heath and Mike Bixler; one sister, Virginia Mayes of Tulsa; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Charles, she was preceded in death by one daughter, one sister and one grandson.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Ross Health Care of Enid.
