Juhree Gayle BISEL
Enid News and Eagle
Enid, Garfield Co., OK
12-03-2008
Submitted by: Jo Aguirre

Juhree's journey in this life began March 14, 1939. She went to be with our Lord on Dec. 2, 2008, at the age of 69. Her parents were Ewalt H. and Chloris Bettie Sargent Piel.

Juhree was baptized on Nov. 6, 1949, at the age of 10. The family lived in Cushing, OK, where Juhree graduated from Cushing High School in 1957. The family moved to Enid, OK, in 1959. Juhree was an employee of St. Mary's Hospital for many years. She was also a care giver to many people in their private homes.

On Oct. 23, 1975, Juhree was married to George W. Bisel at the Enid Mennonite Brethren Church by Rev. Lyn Becker. They made their home southwest of Okeene. Juhree was a kind and loving stepmother to George's children, Theresa, Kelly and Neal. The love of her life was the family and the grandchildren who she was devoted to. She loved having them together for special birthday suppers and holiday dinners.

Juhree was blessed with many God-given-gifts. She loved to decorate her Okeene Mennonite Brethren Church — to make it more worshipful. She had the gift of writing and wrote her church's newsletters for 8 years. She wrote letters and corresponded with her many friends and acquaintances. She often would remember her church members with birthday cards and "love notes." She was a Sunday school teacher and loved to sing in the church choir.

Due to poor health, Juhree moved to Summit Living Center in May of 2007. She touched the lives of the residents as well as the employees in a very special way with her ever-smiling face and Christian spirit. Juhree's kind and loving spirit touched the lives of her family and friends in a special way that no one can replace and through her presence will make heaven a better place, she will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Juhree was preceded in death by her parents, Ewalt and Chloris Piel. She is survived by her husband, George of the home; stepchildren, Theresa and husband, Mike Wiggens, of Tulsa, Kelly and wife, Karen Bisel of Chandler, and Neal and wife, Leigh Anne Bisel of Okeene; grandchildren, Lindi Wiggens, Bret Bisel, Josh Roberts, Cassandra, Jeremiah and Jessica Bisel, Brooke and Brittany Bisel; great-granddaughter, Celeste; two nephews, Shawn Piel and wife, Karen, and their daughter, Morgan, and Corey Piel and wife, Deamber, and their daughter, Chloe.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, at the Mennonite Brethren Church in Okeene with Rev. Bennett Peters officiating. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid, OK, with Wilkinson Mortuary, Okeene, in charge of arrangements
