© Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma December 27, 2005 August 10, 1925 ~ December 18, 2005 The funeral for Geraldine "Gerry" Bingham Doty, 80, of Enid will be 10 am Wednesday in the Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev Lee Ecker will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6 to 9 pm today. She was born August 10, 1925, at Enid to Roy O. and Ada M. Crawford Wilson and died Sunday, December 18, 2005, at Independence, Mo. She graduated from Enid High School in 1944. She married Raymond G. Bingham April 20, 1945. They made their home in Enid. He died in 1989. She worked as a toll operator for Southwestern Bell for 10 years. She later worked for 17 years in admissions at St Mary's Hospital, retiring in 1981. She married Harry L. Doty in Independence. He died in 1996. She moved to Independence in 2000. She was an elder in the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Community of Christ. She was instrumental in organizing Girl Scouts in Enid, past president of the board of auxiliary volunteers at St Mary's and past president of the board at Enid Senior Center. Surviving are two sons, Ray Bingham of Del City and Wayne Bingham of Independence; one sister, JoAnn Reed of Ionia, Mich.; one brother, Roy O. Wilson Jr of Enid; and five grandchildren. Besides her two husbands, Raymond, and Harry, she was preceded in death by one daughter and one sister. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to American Heart Association. © Enid Morning News Enid, Oklahoma February 2005 January 24, 1947 ~ February 13, 2005 The funeral for Sgt 1st Class Timothy C. Bingham, 58, will be 2 pm Thursday at Willow Road Christian Church. Carrell E. Still, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Enid Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors. Arrangements are by Henninger-Allen Funeral Home. Family visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. He was born January 24, 1947, in Shidler to Albert and Doreen Head Bingham and died Sunday, February 13, 2005, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center. He attended Enid Public Schools, graduating from Enid High School in 1965. He joined Oklahoma National Guard in 1964 and worked for the Coca Cola Bottling Co. from 1965 to 1969. He married Vickie Tremain in 1968. He graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State University at Alva in 1970 and worked for Perry High School for 13 years as a business teacher. He coached wrestling, tennis, girls softball; was the Perry wrestling tournament director; and spent many years announcing the PHS football games. He married Patricia Nichols in 1975. In 1983, he began working full time for Oklahoma National Guard, serving 14 years in Enid and six years in Lawton. He served with 45th Field Artillery Brigade for more than 40 years, attaining the rank of major. Commendations included Army Service Ribbon, Army Driver's Badge, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal four times, Armed Forces Reserve Medal twice, Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Defense Service Medal three times, Army Good Conduct Medal six times, Army Commendation Medal twice, Armed Forces Reserve Medal three times, Meritorious Service Medal twice. In 1994, he was named Oklahoma Active Guard Reserve Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year. He was a member of Willow Road Christian Church where he was active in choir and Bible study. Surviving are his wife, Patricia; his mother, Doreen Walker; his stepmother, Leila Bingham; four sons, Jason Bingham, Chris Nichols, Steve Nichols and Maj Brad Nichols; two sisters, Bonnie Phillips and Melody Johnson; one stepbrother, Daryl Koon; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma National Guard Scholarship Fund. |
