© Enid Morning News Enid, Oklahoma May 1930 April 25, 1864 ~ May 1930 Funeral Services for John C. Bilderback, a pioneer Cherokee Strip settler of near Carrier who died yesterday morning will be today with Rev Chambers officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid. Brown Funeral Home is in charge of the service. He is survived by his widow, Manie, two daughters of the home, Edith and Nada; two other daughters, Mrs Bertha McClure and Iva Nelson of Carrier and one brother, Charles of Dover. The body was cared for by the Brown funeral home of Enid. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Our hearts go out in deepest sympathy to Mrs J.C. Bilderback and daughters in the loss of the husband and father, whose death occurred Monday morning at 6:20 after an illness of ten days with bronchial pneumonia. We who are privileged to live by him, lose a good neighbor and a loyal friend. Services were held at Carrier Church, conducted by Rev. Parkinson of Enid and Rev Chambers with interment in Memorial Park Cemetery. |
© Enid Morning News Enid, Oklahoma December 1962 January 23, 1876 ~ December 19, 1962 Services for Mrs Minie B. Bilderback, 1219 West Cherokee will be at 4 p.m today at the First Methodist Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs Bilderback was 86. She died in a local hospital Wednesday morning. Born in Fall River, Kansas she came to Oklahoma at the time of the opening of old Oklahoma settling near Dover. She was the widow of J. C. Bilderback who died in 1930. Mrs. Bilderback moved to Enid in 1931. She also lived in Wakita and Carrier. She was a member of the Eastern, Neal Chapter and the Carrier Economics club. Memorials may be made to the Methodist Golden Aged Home. Mrs Bilderback leaves three daughters, Mrs Hugh McClure, Mrs Clyde Pinkerton, and Mrs Marvin Killam. A sister, Mrs Elizabeth A. Stunkle, of Enid; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Dr Ben Sturdivant and Rev Bill Higgins will officiate and burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the Brown Funeral Home. |
