OBITUARY

Funeral services for Dora L. Beyer, age 79, of Lee's Summit Mo, formerly of Enid will be at 10 a.m. Thursday April 11, 2002 in the Ladusau Evans Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ernest Leierer officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden Chapel of Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Ladusau Evans Funeral Home.

She was born January 14, 1923 near Jefferson Oklahoma to Rolly and Edna Cowherd and died Saturday, April 6, 2002 in the Lee's Summit Regional Hospital.

Doris was a graduate from Gore Township High School in Wakita, Oklahoma and later attended Enid Business College. She worked briefly for the Gold Spot Dairy. On June 4, 1944, Doris married Warren O. Beyer. In 1994 the couple celebrated 50 years of marriage. He preceded her in death in 1997.

Doris was a lifelong member of Davis Park Christian Church. She is survived by one brother, Roy Cowherd of Wakita; three sons Warren K. Beyer and his wife Kozue of Lee's Summit, MO., Wayne E. Beyer and his wife Susan of Gladstone, MO., and Melvin G. Beyer and his wife Gayle of Manassas, VA. Also surviving Doris are her five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, one sister and two brothers.
