Kenneth Lee Best
February 25, 1922 ~ October 11, 2019


raveside Service for Kenneth Lee Best, age 97, of Enid, will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Kenneth was born on February 25, 1922, to George and Ollie Best in Wakita, OK, and passed away October 11, 2019, in Broken Arrow, OK.

He graduated from Gore Consolidated High School in rural Jefferson, OK.

Kenneth and Vera Best were united in marriage on March 18, 1944. He worked at the Boeing Aircraft Co. in Wichita, KS, before serving in the U.S. Army during WWII, joining the 96th Infantry Division in Oklahoma in April 1945. He received a Purple Heart during that conflict.

Kenneth was a farmer/rancher for 65 years in the Wakita community before moving to Enid. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, Enid Garden Club and the New Hope Methodist Church of Enid.

Survivors include one son, Gerald Best and his wife Sandra of Broken Arrow, OK; two grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, five brothers and four sisters.

Virginia Rose "Jenny" [Coen] Best
December 7, 1936 ~ January 25, 2002


Funeral services for Virginia R. "Jenny" Best, age 65 of Enid, will be 2 PM Tuesday, January 29, 2002, in Ladusau-Evans Chapel. Rev Marvin Goodpasture will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

She was born December 7, 1936, in Covington to Marvin and Elizabeth Kegin Coen and died Friday, January 25, 2002, in Enid Senior Care.

Jenny attended the Covington and Garber school systems.

On October 8, 1952, she married Eugene Riggins in Enid.

On December 7, 1964, Jenny married Thomas Best at the Davis Park Christian Church of Enid. He preceded her in death on February 16, 1994.

For 29 years, Jenny was a waitress for Pollie & Peggy's Café of Enid until its closure. She also worked for the Wagon Wheel Restaurant and the Willow Inn Café until her retirement in 1992.

She then went out on the truck with her husband until a stroke made it impossible for her to travel.

She is survived by two children, Kathy Wheeler and her husband Frank, and Thomas William Best Jr; a brother, Jess Coen all of Enid, two sisters, Jane Collins of Salt Plains, Oklahoma, and Freda Riggins of Enid, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Jenny was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas Best, two sisters and a son, Jr Riggins.

Memorials can be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Lung Division.

Antonia "Toni" [Dolasinski] Best CNA
January 6, 1944 ~ February 19, 2015


Mass of Christian burial for Antonia “Toni” Best, 71, of Enid, Okla., will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church, with the Rev Carson Krittenbrink as celebrant. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. Monday, February 23, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Toni was born Januaryu 6, 1944, in Gary, Ind., the daughter of Zeno and Anna Mae Thatcher Dolasinski and passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015.

She was a graduate of W.A. Wirt High School in 1962 in Gary, Ind.

Toni was united in marriage to Roland "Ed" Best on May 16, 1970, in Gary, Ind.

She was a veteran of the United States Army.

Toni was employed as a CNA for area nursing homes and later a sales representative for Service Merchandise.

Toni enjoyed boating, motorcycling and spending time with her husband driving cross country.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, Ed; three daughters, Darla Best, Doreen Ward and Tracey Bowers-Best and son in-law, Tim Bowers, all of Enid; two sons, Thomas Graham and Roland Edward Best II and his wife Loretta, both of Lahoma; stepson, Nathan Best of Milltown, Ind.; two stepdaughters, Lisa Marie Casillo of South Bridge, Mass., and Jolene Bailey and husband Joey of Sellersburg, Ind.; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; three brothers, Allan Dolasinski and wife Harriet, Gary Dolasinski and wife Vicki Lynn, both of Carmen, Okla., and Mark Dolasinski of Enid.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, Irene and Whitty Wood.

Memorial contributions may be made to St Jude’s Children's Hospital, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
