Services for Walter Edward Bentz, 76, 2023 E. Walnut, were at 10 AM today in the Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home Chapel.

Pastor Kenneth Wade of St. Paul's Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home.

Bentz died Friday in a local hospital.

Born June 23, 1904 at Breckinridge, he was the son of Edward and Lydia Bentz. He attended school at Breckinridge.

Bentz married Elsie Ragoss in 1924 at Garber. They lived on a farm in the Garber area for many years. His wife died, January 18, 1971. Bentz was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include one son, Gaylon, Enid; two brothers, Rudey, Houston, Texas, and Norman, Breckinridge; one sister, Helen Seutter, Enid; one granddaughter, Mindy Bentz, Enid; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Oklahoma Heart Research Association. The funeral home will act as custodians of the fund.
