The funeral for Floyd Benell Jr., 59, who died Monday at his home, 4100 Shady, will be at 2 PM Wednesday at Landusau – Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. A Meitner, pastor emeritus of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

He was born December 18, 1927, in Enid to Floyd and Julia Benell and graduated from Enid High School. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and later worked for Long Bell Lumber Company. And Tyding Wholesale. He was employed in the supply department at Enid State School at time of death.

Benell was a member of the VFW, Moose Lodge and Enid Solo Club.

He is survived by a son, Rex of Drummond, and a granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a son.
