Funeral rites for Sarah Goertzen Begley, 69, 2006 E. Walnut, who died suddenly Friday night, will be at 10 AM Tuesday in the Chapel of the Brown Funeral Home. Dr. Leslie G. Everitt Jr. will officiate and interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Begley was born in Henderson, Nebraska, and moved to Enid in 1929. She and Omer L. Begley were married in September, 1942, in Enid, and he survives.

Other survivors are two brothers, David D. Goertzen, Reedley, California, and Peter D. Goertzen, Mentica, California.

Omer L. Begley, 73, Colorado Springs, Colorado, formerly of Enid, died Sunday in a Colorado Springs hospital. His funeral will be Wednesday at 2 PM in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Leslie G. Everitt officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Begley was born in Indian Territory, Oklahoma, and had been a resident of Enid for several years before moving to Colorado Springs, Colorado, 2 1/2 years ago. In 1942, he married Sarah Goertzen in Enid. She died September 21, 1973.

Begley was a retired welder for Champlin Petroleum Company, and was a member of OCAW No. 120 of Enid.

Survivors include his father, J. W. Begley, Lawton; two sisters, Mrs. M. Ruth Herron and Mrs. Florence Jarvis, both of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and one brother, O. B. Begley, Aurora, Colorado.
