Services for Mrs. Mary L. E. Beer, Enid, will be at 2 PM Friday in the Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Underwood officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Beer died Sunday, January 23, 1983, in a local nursing home after a long period of ill health. She was born in Cloverport, Kentucky, and moved to Medford at an early age, later moving to Enid.

The former Mary Tate, she was married to Dr. Carl Beer February 14, 1936. He died January 2, 1968.

Mrs. beer was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Neal Chapter, was past president of the Kiwanis Queens and past president of the Garden Study Club. She also served on the council of the Garden Study Club.

Mrs. beer was a member of the Church of the Covenant.

She is survived by a daughter, Evelyn Bell of Tulsa; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a great great grandchild. The family will be at the funeral home from 1 PM Friday to receive friends.
