Mary Roberta [Gwinn] Kirton Becker
March 25, 1916 ~ February 24, 2003


The funeral for Mary Roberta Becker, 86, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church. The Rev David Wiggs will officiate. Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

There is no viewing.

She was born March 26, 1916, in Helena, Oklahoma to Roy and Rosa Dunlap Gwinn and died Monday February 24, 2003, at The Methodist Home of Enid, Oklahoma.

She graduated from Helena High School, then attended Phillips University.

She married Billy Kirton in 1940.

She was a homemaker, director of Christian Education at First United Methodist Church and semi-professional entertainer.

On August 12, 1961, she married Eugene Becker.

She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church.

Surviving are one son, Bill R. Kirton of Denver, Colorado; two stepchildren, Beverly Shelite of Hennessey, Oklahoma. and Doug Becker of Enid, Oklahoma; three step grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and one step great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one son.

Donald "Don" Becker
November 18, 1920 ~ July 6, 2012


Donald "Don" Becker was born November 18, 1920 to Peter A. and Leona [Buller] Becker in a farmhouse west of Goltry, Oklahoma. Later they moved to the home place 3 miles south of Goltry. He was the youngest of 3 boys.

He attended a county school, Independence 103, for all his elementary years. The school was located 1 mile east and he walked to school. After his 8 years in elementary school he entered Goltry High School. He graduated in 1939 and in the summer of 1939 he received a full 4-year scholarship from Union Equity Cooperative Exchange to attend John Brown University. He graduated in May of 1943 with a B.A. degree in Accounting, but did not participate in the graduation ceremony due to military service.

On September 2, 1942 he enlisted in the Air Force and served until April 21, 1946. He served stateside and in the China-Burma-India Theatre stationed in Calcutta, India.

After returning home he took up where he left off by going to work for Union Equity. Under the scholarship contract they were guaranteed a job if one was available. He started working on elevator construction and later became assistant bookkeeper, office manager, assistant manager of business development, public relations and then vice-president. He served for 40 ½ years.

On November 1, 1947, he married Yvonne Newton and they raised two children, John and Jan. They were married 47 years when Yvonne died November 20, 1994.

He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church for 65 years and a member of the Friendship Class. He was a member of the Enid Lions Club for 57 years. Don was an active volunteer in mission work sponsored by his church and Sunday School Class. He worked with the Salvation Army, Scouting, Our Daily Bread, Mobile Meals, Midgely Museum, and the Lions Club. He served on many boards including the Church's Administrative Board, Boys Ranch of the United Methodist Church, and the Lions Club. He was president of the Board at the United Methodist Retirement Center, The Commons, for 10 ½ years during the period of its expansion. He also chaired the Keenager Mission and Travel group for 18 years.

On October 26, 1996 he married Joyce Featherston. Together they shared 16 years of companionship and travel.

In 2009 Don was asked to be the Commencement speaker at the John Brown University graduation ceremony, where he finally walked across the stage and received his diploma.

His parents and two brothers, Roscoe and Gene Becker, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife Joyce of the home; son John Becker, Enid, OK; daughter Jan Martin and her husband Mike, Enid, OK; Grandchildren Randy Becker and wife Laura, Austin, TX; Malanie Cord, Enid OK; Katy Martin and fiancé Brent Thomas, St Petersburg, FL; Donnie Martin and fiancé Megan Schniers, Dallas, TX; Melissa Martin and Nate Gregory, Bartlesville, OK. Great grandchildren are William Becker, Austin TX, and Josh Cord, Enid, OK.

A Service of Remembrance will be held Wednesday, July 11th at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church. Burial, for family and close friends, will be held at 10:00 a.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery preceding the Service. Officiating will be Dr Grayson Lucky of First United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6-7 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Memorial Gifts may be made to First United Methodist Church, Enid with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.

Alberta M. [Riffel] Joyner Becker
November 20, 1920 ~ April 18, 2018


A Celebration of Life Service for Alberta M Joyner Becker, age 97, of End will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Pastor Walter Martinez and Pastor David Miller officiating.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The casket will be opened until service time.

Alberta was born November 20, 1920 in Carrier, OK to Albert and Lillie Belz Riffel and passed away at her home where she was born on Wednesday, April 18, 2018.

She grew up in the Carrier Community.

She received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Phillips University and she taught for many years.

Alberta married Loman Joyner on June 20, 1946 and he passed away April 3, 1962. She later married Benny Becker in December of 1963 and he passed away in February 1979.

She was a member of the Enid Seventh Day Adventist Church.

She is survived by her children Barbara Long of Collinsville, OK and Delbert Joyner and wife Becky of Carrier; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two stepdaughters; Joan Davis and Kay Lynn Sikes and eleven step grandchildren and several step great grandchildren, Sister, LaVerna Beltz of Enid, OK.

She was preceded in death by her great grandson Jordan Harrell, two step daughters, Jane Taylor and Mary Wehling.

Memorials may be made to Enid Seventh Day Adventist Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

Arthur Lee "Art" Becker
February 25, 1922 ~ December 26, 2017


The funeral service for Arthur Lee Becker will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 29, 2017 at Henninger~Hinson Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Gary Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Arthur Lee Becker, 95, passed from this life on December 26, 2017, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City after a short illness.

He was born on February 25, 1922 to Barney and Nettie Becker of Goltry, OK; the youngest of eight children.

Arthur graduated from Helena-Goltry High School and served in the Army Air Corp in Italy during World War II.

In 1946, he married Wanda Sheets and they made their home in Enid for the next 71 years.

They raised two children, one son and one daughter, and were faithful members of Central Christian Church for more than 50 years.

Art worked as a service technician for Weldon Chevrolet and later Northcutt Chevrolet for a total of more than 40 years. He loved working for Leonard Northcutt and the Northcutt family. Art will be missed by his neighbors, his friends at church, and his family.

Arthur is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Darrell Coppedge; son, Douglas Becker; Granddaughter, Tammy Neal; nieces, Carolyn Ames and Patricia Wayman.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda and a grandson, Jeremy Becker.

Milfred Laroy "ML" Becker
November 19, 1922 ~ April 16, 2017


The funeral services celebrating the life of Milford L. "M.L."" Becker ,94, Enid will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, 19, 2017 in the Central Christina Church with Rev Dr Jarrett Banks officiating and Rev Shannon Speidel Co officiating.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Graveside military honors will be conducted by the Vance Air Force Base Silver Talon Honor Guard.

Mr Becker was born to Harry B. and Edna L. Becker on November 19,1922 in Meno, Oklahoma.

He attended Meno Star Center for grade school where he was taught for four years by Dorothy Becker, his Grandmother.

He attended Emerson Jr High and Enid High School where he graduated in 1941.

M.L. said his responsibilities before the war "were not much of anything."

M.L. was drafted in March 1944 and during this time he was assigned to a 10-man air force combat crew where he was sent to England where he served with the 487th Bomb Group in Levenam, England. He was transferred to the 34th Bomb Group. He then flew the Martin B-26 Marauders. He was shot down on his 23
rd mission by Bastogne and marched across Germany as a POW. He was later liberated by American troops.

After his discharge, he attended the Spartran School of Aeronautics where he received his Aircraft and Engine Mechanics License. He worked two years for Spartan Aircraft Company in Tulsa and attended business college. He then returned to Enid to work for Vance Air Force base for five years. After owning the maintenance shop at Woodring Field in Enid for thirty-seven years, he retired in 1992. He had an incredible knowledge of aircraft.

He was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church and attended Central Christian Church and is survived by a host of loving friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and lifelong companion Ellen Janes.

Myrtle Alice [Unruh] Becker
May 14, 1925 ~ March 30, 1988


The funeral for Myrtle A. Becker, 62, who died Wednesday, will be at 10:30 am Saturday at Grace Mennonite Church with the Revs Ted Kuschel and Wilfred Ulrich officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery directed by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Myrtle Uhruh was born May 19, 1925, in Ringwood and lived in Texas and California before returning to the Enid area.

On February 17, 1957, she married Arthur L. Becker in Enid.

Mrs Becker attended Grace Bible Institute for three years and Phillips University for one year.

She graduated from Enid General Hospital Nurses Training and worked as a registered nurse at Enid Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include her husband Arthur, a sister, Norma Shaw of Enid.

She was preceded in death by her daughter.

Jim was born May 18, 1928 in Goltry, Oklahoma to Alvin and Irene [Johnson] Becker, and passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017 in Enid.

He attended Goltry Public Schools.

He married Dorotha Schultz on November 9, 1957 in Goltry, and then they established their home in Enid.

Jim was employed at Vance Air Force Base for thirty-four years before retiring in 1990.

Jim was an avid gardener and was a member of the Men's Garden Club in Enid. He and Dorotha were long time members of the YMCA, and were members of Oakwood Christian Church. They loved to travel and went on trips to Germany, France, and a mission trip to the Dominican Republic, as well as trips throughout the United States.

He is survived by his wife Dorotha Becker, of the home in Enid; brother-in-law Delmer Schultz and sister-in-law Debora Schultz, of Enid; as well as several nephews and nieces.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Irene Becker, and one brother and a sister.

Memorials in Jim's name may be made to Oakwood Christian Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

Bob was born October 24, 1930 in Goltry, OK to John and Irene [Eck] Becker and passed away Sunday, April 26, 2020 in St Mary's Regional Hospital.

He lived in Goltry until the age of 13 and then moved near Fairview, OK.

He attended and graduated from Oklahoma Bible Academy in 1950.

He married Alice Jean Wahl on August 24, 1951 in Fairview. They moved to Enid in 1952.

He started working for Enid Grain Inspection for 8 years and then went to work for Union Equity and retired in 1991.

He was a faithful member of First Nazarene Church where he taught the Singles class and the Rainbow class.

Bob loved to go camping and fishing with his family and friends. He enjoyed going to the donut shop to spend time with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife Alice of the home, his son Garry Becker [Pam], his daughters; Sheryl Reid and her companion Hal Morgan and Rhonda Tappan [Jim] all of Enid, two grandsons; Jonathan Reid and Jeffrey Tappan, brother John Becker Jr of Bella Vista, AR and sister Vivian Becker of Sulphur, OK and numerous other family and friends.

Memorial contribution's in Roberts name may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene Missions with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

Graveside services will be in the Garden Chapel of Memorial Park Cemetery 10 a.m. Tuesday

Alice Jean [Wahl] Becke
January 19, 1933 ~ April 29, 2024


Alice was born January 19, 1933 in Orienta, OK to William and Alma [Wichert] Wahl and passed away early April 29, 2024 in the Greenbrier Nursing Home.

She attended school in Fairview and graduated from Fairview High School in 1952.

She married Robert Becker on August 24, 1951 in Fairview and he passed away on April 26, 2020.

They moved to Enid in 1952.

She later worked at St. Mary's as an CNA. She worked for Enid Public Schools as a teacher assistant.

Alice was a faithful member of Enid First Nazarene Church and served in all areas.

Alice enjoyed embroidery, quilting, sewing for her kids, cooking, and gardening.

She and Bob enjoyed camping and making memories of a lifetime

Dorotha is survived by her brother Delmer Schultz and his wife Debora, of Enid; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Myrna Schultz, husband, Jim Becker.

John was born to Donald and Yvonne [Newton] Becker on Nov. 3, 1949, in Enid, Okla., and passed away Monday, December 1, 2014, in Enid.

John grew up in Enid and graduated from Enid High School. He then graduated from O.S.U. with a bachelors degree.

He was an Eagle Scout, and later became a Boy Scout Troop 27 Leader.

John enjoyed entertaining family and friends.

John is survived by his children, John Randolph “Randy” Becker and wife Laura of Pflugerville, Texas, and Malanie Becker of Enid; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and sister, Jan and Mike Martin of Enid.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie, and parents.

Services for Debra Clover Becker were held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 13 , 2006 in Willow View United Methodist Church under the direction of Ladusau Evans Funeral Home.

Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Debra Lynn Clover was born January 30, 1952 to Earl and Glorene Goble Clover and passed away on March 9, 2006.

She lived in Enid, attended Enid Schools and graduated from Enid High School with the class of 1970.

She was a homemaker.

Debra married John Becker and he survives her.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her parents Earl and Glorene Clover; a brother Phillip Clover and a sister Laura.

Jonathan R. Becker
September 9, 1963 ~ December 20, 2010


A graveside memorial service for Jonathan R. Becker, 47, will be 1 p.m. Monday, December 27, 2010, in Memorial Park Cemetery, with Rev Gay Cocheres officiating. Arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

Jon was born September 9, 1963, in Edmond.

He graduated from Marist High School in Atlanta and attended Georgia Tech before joining the Army. He served seven years, including a year in Korea, before receiving a medical discharge. Jon was a SGT E-5 and earned several metals.

On March 24, 2000, he married Teresa Elizabeth Bloedorn in Enid. He was a volunteer with Randall's Production, raising money for Enid Police Department. Jon also worked for D.A.R.E. at Oakwood Mall. Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in me shall live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die."" John 11:25-26.

On Monday, December 20, 2010, the Lord Jesus Christ called John Becker's name and lovingly led him from this world to the next to live with Him for eternity.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa "Terri"; children, Jonathan Ray Becker of Enid, Shawn Hynes and wife Bonnie of Arkansas, and Christina Slater of Florida; father, Lonnie Becker and stepmother, Debbi of Houston; sister, Darci Schriber of Newport Beach, Calif; three grandchildren, Kobee, Aydan and Megan; mother-in-law, Rozanne Shade of Enid; and niece, Elizabeth Topper of Georgia.

Jon was preceded in death by his mother, Toni Ciardullo Becker; and grandparents, Olin and Dorothy Becker and Joyce Ciardullo.
