Sean David Bean
January 2, 1974 ~ June 10, 2016

A celebration of the life of Shawn Bean, 42, will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at First Baptist Church with Pastor Kelly Russell officiating.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Visitation with family will be Monday evening 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Shawn David Bean was born to Stacy and Kathy [Buller] Bean on January 2, 1974, in Enid, and lost a well fought battle with ALS on Friday, June 10, 2016 in Enid.

Shawn graduated from Enid High School.

He married Jana Sue Geary on April 16, 1994, and they had one son Haden James Bean.

Shawn began his career as a firefighter in May of 1998. Being a firefighter was more than a job, it was his passion. His co-workers were not just co-workers, they were his family, his brothers. He would have run into a burning building for any of them.

When his career with the Enid Fire Department ended he was a driver.

On his days off, he worked for his father, Gene Williams, doing heating and air conditioning repair and installation. Everyone that knew him knew that if they needed anything he would be there in an instant. Shawn was always busy working on something, or just tearing it apart to have something to do.

Shawn was a true fighter through the end, and he will be terribly missed by all who knew him.

Shawn is survived by his wife Jana of the home; mother Kathy Arnold and husband Kendall of Lahoma; father Stacy Bean and wife Joyce; father Gene Williams; brothers Ryan Bean and wife Stephanie, Tanner Bean and wife Nallely, and Dusty Williams all of Enid; aunt Cindy Stewart and husband Mike of Canyon, Texas; uncle David Hoffman of Dumas, Texas; cousins Dustin Hoffman and wife Melinda, Derek Hoffman and wife Carrie all of Canyon, Texas; many nieces, nephews, and so many friends.

Shawn was preceded in death by his son Haden Bean on September 16, 2015, and his grandparents.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Army Ranger Lead the Way Fund or Cadet Lawman.

Haden James Bean
March 19, 1993 ~ September 16, 2015

A Celebration of Life Service in honor of SPC. Haden James Bean will be 2 p.m. Thursday, September 24, 2015, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, with the Rev Wade Burleson officiating.

Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors by the U.S. Army.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 6:30 at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Haden James Bean was born March 19, 1993, to Shawn David and Jana Sue [Geary] Bean, and God took his angel home Wednesday, September 16, 2015.

At the time of his death, SPC Haden Bean was attending the Basic Airborne Course en route to Special Forces Assessment and Selection.

Haden was a loving soul who never met a stranger. He treated everyone with kindness.

He loved to be outdoors, running, hunting or playing golf. But his favorite pastime was to be with his family and friends.

Haden set an example of how to live your life simply by living his. He will forever be loved and missed.

Haden is survived by his parents, Shawn and Jana; grandparents, Jacob and Serena Geary of Tahlequah, Kathy and Kendall Arnold of Lahoma, Gene Williams, and Stacy and Joyce Bean all of Enid; uncles, Jason Geary and wife Mary, Ryan Bean and wife Stephanie, Tanner Bean and wife Nallely, and Dustin Williams; as well as numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents.

Shawn and Jana request to honor Haden's life with memorials going to Wounded Warrior Project, instead of flowers. The service can be viewed online at www.emmanuelenid.org
