Devon Beachem II

ENID — Funeral services for Devon Beachem II, age 45, who passed from this earth on July 20, 2010, will be at 2 p.m. at the Garriott Road Church of Christ on July 28th. It will be officiated by Brother Ray Rose. Burial will be at the Memorial Cemetery .

Devon was born on June 25th, 1965, to Devon Beachem and Carolyn Butler in Los Angelos, CA. He lived most of his life with his grandmother, Betty Sessions and they moved to Watonga from California in 1978, where he attended school in the Watonga School District.

He and Yvonne met in December of 1991 and were united in marriage on June 23rd, 1995. To this union a daughter was born, Deyonna Marie on August 22, 2000.

For the past 6 years, Devon worked for Bradford Electric as an electrician apprentice. He enjoyed his work very much and took great pride in what he did. His willingness to help others was limitless, and he would always make time for those that called on him. His life was his family and friends. His heart was big and his love and kindness given to others immeasurable. He will be greatly missed by all.

He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Marie and daughter, Deyonna Marie, both of the home and three other children, Carolyn Beachem, Robin Rednose and Devon Beachem III. Also his grandmother, Betty Sessions of Watonga, father, Devon Beachem of California, three brothers, Arthur Wimberly and wife Angela, of Dallas, Texas., Lafarique Aubry of Canton, Illinois, Akinshegun Beachem of Las Vegas, Nevada, one sister Tyeisha Wimberly and Jason Pierce of Oklahoma City, and one granddaughter. He also is survived by numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Butler.

Any memorials may be made to the Booker T. Washington Community Center located in Enid, OK.
