Hattie D. Barnes went to be with the Lord on October 30, 2002, in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 90 years. She was born November 7, 1911 in Roy, New Mexico to J. B. And Mary King. She was employed as a records librarian for 23 years at St. Mary's Hospital and for Dr. A. W. Janzen for 17 years in Enid.

To she is survived by daughters Ellen and son-in-law Quintin Murer of Rancho Cordova, California and Mary Lee and son-in-law Harold McCune of Boise City, Oklahoma; son Edward LeRoy Barnes of San Antonio, Texas; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Her husband Edward Lee Barnes, whom she married on December 23, 1930, preceded her in death. The couple had lived in Enid since 1938.

Funeral services will be held today at 3 PM in the Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. T. A. Chick Officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family wishes to extend their appreciation and love to Dotty France of San Antonio, Texas for her unending love, devotion, and dedication to Hattie. Special thanks are also extended to the CNA's, LPNs, nurses and staff of the Regent Care Center at Oakwell Farms and VITAS Hospice in San Antonio who cared for Hattie.

Contributions in memory of Hattie may be made through the funeral home to a charity of one's choice.
