Michael Craig Ballard, 56, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015, at his home in Enid, Okla. Born Sept. 3, 1958, in Killeen, Texas, to Raymond and Anna Ballard, he attended Pioneer High School and Autry Tech, where he studied electronics.

Michael grew up an Army brat, so he called the world his home. He lived in Killeen, Texas; Gross Umstadt, Germany; Weleetka, Okla.; Babenhausen, Germany; Zweibrucken, Germany; Columbus, Ga.; Enid, Okla.; and Las Vegas, Nev.

On June 25, 1995, he married Lynn Derrick. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters: Alaina Marie, born Nov. 16, 1995, and Grace Lynn, born Aug. 2, 1998.

Michael started his company, Timesavers Software LLC, in December 1995. This successful business sold billing software to answering services nationwide and in Canada.

Michael’s passion was music of all genres. With his ear for music, he taught himself how to play the guitar and piano. He loved playing for family, friends and at holiday parties. Michael also composed and recorded his own songs.

Michael is survived by his wife, Lynn Ballard; his sister and spouse, Marliese and Günter Dohrmann of Neuhausel, Germany; his brothers and their spouses, Ray and Connie Ballard of Sand Springs, Okla., and George and Stella Ballard of Johnson City, Tenn.; and his children, Alaina and Grace.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother.

A service of remembrance and celebration of Michael’s life will occur at 2 p.m. at Willow View United Methodist Church on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, with the Rev. Tom Carruthers officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid, Okla. Service is under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Condolences may be made at www.ladusauevans.com, which will also stream the service for those unable to attend.

Michael’s family invites memorial contributions to the beneficiary of the giver’s choice.
