March 8, 1933 ~ December 28, 2017

Funeral service for Lana Faith Ballard, 84 year-old Enid resident, will be 2:00pm Tuesday, January 2, 2018 in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Gordon Jantz will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.7

Services are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Memorial donations can be given in Lana's name to the North Garland Church of Christ Food Pantry with Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home acting as custodian of the fund.

Virgil Ballard
June 13, 1944 ~ November 16, 2013


Funeral service for Virgil Ballard will be 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, 2013, at Stittsworth Memory Chapel, with Pastor Alvin Dalton officiating.

Committal prayers and interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the kind guidance of Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service and Cremation Directors.

Virgil was born June 13, 1944, in Berryville, Ark., to Virgil Scott and Ervil Georgia Ballard and passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 16, 2013, at home with his wife Michelle by his side.

At the age of 4, his family moved to Enid.

He attended Enid schools and graduated from Enid High School with the class of 1962. Virgil owned and operated Ballard Plumbing from 1968 to 2008.

He met and married the love of his life, Michelle Weber after a short courtship of only 10 days. They married June 17, 1978.

Virgil and Michelle bought the Turf Bar in 1999, and still own it.

Virgil loved to be with people, shoot pool, watch football and play golf.

Virgil is survived by his wife of 35 years, Michelle; daughters, Melanie and Jim Mayhall of Enid, and Sondra and Mike Diel of Breckinridge, Okla.; granddaughters, Kayla and Kassidy Diel; sisters, Loretta Musick, and Connie and husband David Duffy; brother, Dennis “Dink” Ballars and wife Chris; and sister-in-law, Linda Allison, all of Enid; many nieces, nephews, loved ones; and his dogs, Max and Buddy.

Virgil was preceded in passing by his parents; brother, David Ballard; and brother-in-law, Tennis Musick.

Virgil loved his girls, Melanie, Sondra, Kayla and Kassidy with all his heart!

Jerry L. Ballard Sr
November 2, 1941 ~ October 27, 2011


Funeral services for Jerry L. Ballard Sr, 69, Enid, Oklahoma, were Monday, October 31, 2011, in North Garland Church of Christ with Family Life Minister Gordan Jantz officiating. Burial with military rites by the U.S. Army at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Jerry was born November 2, 1941, in Dickson, Tennessee, to Robert Lee Ballard Jr and Mary Lou Burch Ballard and died October 27, 2011, in Integris Bass Baptist Health Center, Enid.

Jerry grew up and attended school in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. He graduated from Haylong High School in 1959.

He enlisted in the 82nd Airborne Army in 1959 and served in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, as a radio operator. He was honorably discharged as a corporal in 1962.

He moved to Columbia, Tennessee, and was district manager of McCrory, McClellan, Green's stores until 1975.

He married Lana Lee January 21, 1977; they celebrated 34 years of marriage this year.

He worked as a manager for the Walmart Company. He moved to various places with Walmart, and, after retiring in 1991, he moved to Enid to be near family.

He enjoyed singing and was a member of the Singing Ambassadors. He was also a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans, The Sojourners Missionary Group and an active member of North Garland Church of Christ. He traveled with other Church of Christ missionary groups to Mexico, The Philippines and South Texas helping children.

He is survived by his wife: Lana, of the home; sons: Jerry Lee Ballard Jr and Robert Daniel Ballard, both of Enid; daughters: Linda and husband Terry Edmondson of Enid, Deborah Garoutte of Enid and Judy and husband Cliff Tucker of Bella Vista, AR; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Larry and sister-in-law Faye Ballard and sister Linda and brother-in-law John Dugger, both of Mount Pleasant, TN.

Williams Funeral Home is assisting the family with local arrangements.

Michael Craig Ballard
September 3, 1958 ~ April 25, 2015


Michael Craig Ballard, 56, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015, at his home in Enid, Okla. Born September 3, 1958, in Killeen, Texas, to Raymond and Anna Ballard, he attended Pioneer High School and Autry Tech, where he studied electronics

Michael grew up an Army brat, so he called the world his home. He lived in Killeen, Texas; Gross Umstadt, Germany; Weleetka, Okla.; Babenhausen, Germany; Zweibrucken, Germany; Columbus, Ga.; Enid, Okla.; and Las Vegas, Nev.

On June 25, 1995, he married Lynn Derrick. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters: Alaina Marie, born November 16, 1995, and Grace Lynn, born August 2, 1998.

Michael started his company, Timesavers Software LLC, in December 1995. This successful business sold billing software to answering services nationwide and in Canada.

Michael’s passion was music of all genres. With his ear for music, he taught himself how to play the guitar and piano. He loved playing for family, friends and at holiday parties. Michael also composed and recorded his own songs.

Michael is survived by his wife, Lynn Ballard; his sister and spouse, Marliese and Günter Dohrmann of Neuhausel, Germany; his brothers and their spouses, Ray and Connie Ballard of Sand Springs, Okla., and George and Stella Ballard of Johnson City, Tenn.; and his children, Alaina and Grace.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother.

A service of remembrance and celebration of Michael’s life will occur at 2 p.m. at Willow View United Methodist Church on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, with the Rev Tom Carruthers officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid, Okla. Service is under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Condolences may be made at www.ladusauevans.com, which will also stream the service for those unable to attend.
