Funeral service for Leslie R. "Les" Bailey, 42-year-old Enid resident, will be 2 p.m. today, July 22, 2011, at North Garland Church of Christ. Rev. Marilyn Murray will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Les was born May 20, 1969, in Blackwell to Jim Bailey and LaVeda (Bergeson) Bailey and died Sunday, July 17, 2011.

He attended local schools and graduated from Enid High School in 1988.

On Dec. 29, 1990, he married Cindy Morgan and the couple made their home in Enid. At the age of 10 he began to learn being a mechanic and welder from his father.

He worked with Vater Implement for 14 years and then for Hamm and Phillips for another five. He was then employed by Suddenlink Communications.

He was an avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast. He loved to ride and work on his motorcycles. But his greatest pleasure was spending time with his family and children, fishing, at their sporting events -- it didn't matter what they wanted to do as long as it was together.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy and daughter Rachel of the home; his father, Jim Bailey and mother LaVeda Collier; his grandmothers', Dorothy Bailey and Bonnie Bergeson; his mother-in-law, Lorraine Watson; two sisters, Donna Hurst and husband Bill and Michelle Bailey; three brothers, Bobby, Chris and Rusty Atkinson; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his son, Tanner, and two grandfathers.

Memorials may be made to the Rachel Bailey Education Fund through the funeral home.
