Funeral for Sid N. Bachelder, 75, who died late Friday night in a local nursing home, will be at 2 PM Tuesday in the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Russell officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

Bachelder was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and moved to Enid with his parents when he was nine years old. He worked for the Medford and D. C. Bass Construction Company and before retiring 10 years ago was employed in the maintenance department of St. Mary's Hospital where he worked 14 years.

A member of the Liberty Southern Baptist Church, Bachelder was preceded in death by his wife and one son.

Survivors include two sons, Billy L., Oakland, California; and Dal E., Naples, Italy; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Hankins and Mrs. Kenneth (Linda) Lindley, both of Enid; and Mrs. Cleve (Helen) Wingerd, Walnut Creek, California; two brothers, Jim Bachelder, Hayfork, California; and W. I. (Bill) Bachelder, Enid; two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Brown, Tulsa; and Mrs. Larry Potts, Soquel, California; 16 grandchildren and 15 great – grandchildren.
